Any weight over that, whether it's five pounds or .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000005 pounds over makes the fighter a jr. welterweight by the letter of the rule. Points of demarcation have to exist somewhere in this discussion.

 

I was guilty of being on the pro-Donaire side of that argument and clearly heavily underestimated Rigo in that style match up (and some gulf of skill, too).

But your statement is even more true now. Rigo has proven to be a boss of sorts in the last couple years whereas before the Donaire match, I will stand by my then opinion that there were some unproven qualities with Rigo. Not no more, not for me (other than a chin which isn't as great as every other aspect of his fight game).

Rigo fought someone who re-hydrated up to WW in his last fight, and he's smaller than Loma. So Vasyl isn't the only one packing zeppelins in this fight.

You're giving them too much credit expecting that they have watched the Amagasa fight (and a good one it was).

I looked at the tale of the tape the other day in response to someone claiming that Rigondeaux has never fought someone close to the size of Lomo and Amagasa is bigger in every measurable way than Lomachenko, IIRC.
