I thought the same. Now I watched some of Prices older fights, e.g. vs. Matt Skelton, and the truth is Price has never been able to keep anyone under control with his jab or by holding. He is very ineffective vs. come-forward fighters, lacks the reflexes and infight abilities. Truth is the writing was on the wall long before the Thompson fights. Watch how Skelton tags him with huge hands right in the first round. Price looked totally helpless.
Just proves that you can only measure a heavyweight when they've stepped up to the top level. Joshua is no different and is still unproven.
Yes AJ is unproven. But check his reflexes and handling vs. Skelton and compare to Price vs. Skelton. A huge difference in class between the two. Not saying AJ doesn't panic when taking a huge punch (we'll have to see), but his control of range, jab and reflexes seem much better than Prices.
The way Liverpool football club as a whole acted after Heysel was sickening. The fans, players, manager and even the chairman mocking the dead and gloating about getting English clubs kicked out of Europe. They almost seemed to delight in it. And as for drunken animals without tickets charging a stand and crushing people to death, they tried the EXACT same thing in champions league final. But thankfully this time the police and ground security were on top of things otherwise we have had another mass killing caused by scousers that they would have milked for pity (and money) and blamed everyone for, other than those actually responsible. Always been a scumbag club with utter, vile, scumbag fans.
:good yeah, those scousers have convinced the world that Hillsborough really happened so they could milk the world for billions and justify their crimes against the Arabs.
Some sad, clueless *******s on here seem to have serious issues with the city of Liverpool. Just sound bitter and pathetic to me.
I think you make a good point but I'm no expert on the ways in which Scousers attempt to avoid paying for tickets for things by charging the barriers. I just think scousers revel in associating themselves with events like Heysel and Hillsborough and make a big show of 'grief' and victimhood about the whole thing - even though logic suggests only a small handful were either there or impacted by these now long ago events. Natural enough for down-trodden areas of poor education and unemployment, but still in bad taste. Anyone who wasn't there or wasn't impacted? Take your fake grief and ram it. Just my view.
Before I post, I'm going to say, that I don't want to be involved in all that horrific talk on this thread about the tragdy of Hilsborough, as someone who was at a match that day, and the way those fans have been vilified for years, only to discover this terrible cover up, I find some of the comments disturbing, mis informed and just obnoxious to be honest. Anyway, I always found that the only member of the public that rated Price were Liverpudlians, and that was because they seem to have immense pride in their city, and fully back any sporting talent from their turf, which I find is a good thing. However, I never thought he had that much about him as a world level heavyweight, and suspected his career would move in this direction. A lot of people will be loathed to admit that Fury was right about him, and now Fury gets his shot at Wlad, Price is looking right down the barrel of retirement, and I feel for him.
Don't feel anything for a bottler. He got paid well for turning up Just look at the punches he received that made him fold, absolute **** house. Teper didn't even expect them to hurt him, they were routine shots to the head and price went down quicker than a Bangkok *****.
Quite a few on here thought Price was a hard test for Joshua...do me a favour. No jab, no stamina, no heart. Wouldn't last a round.
