No, it is just that boxers in general are starting to punch HARDER.

    No, it's people whos dumber.

Nowadays' people would say that foreman was china chined after ali's. That duran packed pure china after hearns'. Or that robinson was a good prospect but his glass jaw ruined his career after lamota's.

It's us, people, who are more stup1d (I include myself, no problem in that, i realize), average chins are the same. You get hit hard as f.... you drop to the canvas. Always has been like that, always will be.

Yeah, also catch weights and ducking are everywhere and the baddest man on the earth is now Ronda Rousey.

I think perhaps chins are getting worse.

I suspect boxers don't spar as much as they used to, so they become unaccustomed to taking shots.

Of course, nothing will help mend a glass jaw but there are those borderline cases who perhaps are letting their chins deteriorate between fights.
And possibly lots of guys taking PEDs thinking that will solve their chin issues so they fail to work on defence.
These might be factors, I don't know.

OR .... Maybe, just maybe, promoters have become so brazen about passing off "glass jaw frauds" as genuine prospects on to the fans and it leads to dramatic and embarrassing shatterings of glass. :yep

    Yes.

Our jaws have been made brittle from fluoride and modern dentistry.

The culprit - high sugar diets.

I would say fighters these days dont have as much heart as old school fighters. Hearts are getting worst!

I dont think so, look at ndamn vs lemieux, tons of heart. Anyway it's easier to show heart fighting 15 assaults than fighting 12. I think that's why we feel old school fights were more epics. Obviously, it's easier to get braindead'd too, they are fighting 12 for a reason.

I dont know, I think the 100% mugabi's ko ratio when fighting hagler says that he hit pretty hard. And I'm still like that :admin when I see the snap in hearns punches. Ray Robinson looks like he wants to separate your head from your body when punching. We can go even furhter, dempsey vs willard is no joke.

Um, no. Anyone who knows anything about Boxing knows that Ali's KO of Foreman had NOTHING to do with the Chin. He was completely gassed.

Sure, that's impossible, i cannot imagine anyone in this forum saying that was china chin only because he didnt like foreman. What would i be thinking about?
