We have a strong UK lightweight scene at the moment. Some good fighters most of which are backed by strong promoters working in a good market - UK fans are prepared to pay at the venue, through TV (subscriber or ad supported) and ppv. This has meant a disproportionate number of UK fighters have managed to get title shots on home ground. Good luck to them, we are being spoilt and I hope as many as possible can capitalise on the opportunities presented to them.

Will see over the next year or so who can win and keep a belt, some of the defences may suggest a strong division depending on who moves into LW and who progresses as a fighter.

Whilst I can see the argument for it being a weak division, perhaps I look at it a little differently. There may be no ATGs (but if there was and one of our guys beat them there would be threads about that person being shop worn and over the hill) or US superstars but there are good fights and we can't ask more than that from the fighters. For me a strong division is a competitive one, we have that in the UK but Crolla et al will all want equivalent big fights in U.S. Etc

Every dodgy decision reduces the probability of that happening

Yeah but if he had been in with world champs .... like saturday then he would have also beaten them rahter than Murray and Rees (regardless what the imcompetent judges thought) did one of the judges not have Perez winning 7 rounds after the deductions ?!?!
