False. Quigg isn't even a backfoot fighter yet he beat the front foot fighter in only two rounds. Out of his comfort zone and he did a far better job than Frampton:rofl Explain this hail mary uppercut? Are you trying to claim it hit Kiko by accident?
Sigh, what are you on about again? I was making a sarcastic remark in response to your comment about 1st rounds not meaning anything, there was no factoring in of anything. I can see you aren't so hot at reading and just decide to infer whatever it is you want into things so I'll keep it simple from now on. :thumbsup So you are also putting words in my mouth of saying I find a decision more impressive than a KO? I can tell you what I do think though: it depends. there are degrees and context. In this case KO2 wasn't as impressive as a KO2 in a fight someone dominated start to finish. It showed good power and finishing. Frampton did finish Kiko in 9 the first time and then shut him out in the rematch. I'm not saying thats more impressive, its what it is. But if you want to play triangles then Frampton outboxed Kiko where Quigg didn't/couldn't (he might have eventually we didn't get chance to see). Will quigg be able to get to and hurt Frampton? I'm not so sure. Imagine that! Something not being completely black and white and as simple as "this is my opinion, if you disagree you are stupid lol and I will make up things I think you said to try and argue against". The amount of ridiculously polarised opinions on here sometimes is mind-blowing, so many people that sure they could never be wrong. :nut And Quigg didn't try? Sure that happens all the time in world title boxing fights where your life can quite literally be on the line. People just don't bother trying. The plan might well have been to start cautious and try and bring Kiko on to him but there is no way he meant to take that many punches and be getting marked up on the face. You'll notice I didn't criticise youe opinion of Quigg slowing him down with body shots and winning at all. That's your opinion and its fine. I happen to think Frampton will out-box him. Thats fine too, we are here to express opinions. Making stuff up you think I said to try and argue like a child is pathetic. Grow the heck up.
Where's the Quigg on points option?? I suggest that it is a 50/50 fight and that at present Scott has momentum and confidence from destroying Carl's best win(s) in five minutes. And neither fighter is classes above the other (that would be Rigondeaux). The knockdowns were a surprise and Carl's punch resistence in that first round was (for the first time) worryingly suspect (I accept that Carl was not hurt, but they weren't exactly murderous punches that made him touch the canvas, were they?). At present, I would pick Scott on points (with a knockdown possibly proving to be the difference between two very evenly matched fighters). It may prove to be a fight that never happens as Frampton is supposed to be moving up to 126 (where he will get schooled by Loma and ko'd by Walters) which means that thanks to Barry's ego, the biggest payday Carl was likely to receive in his entire career may well have been left on the table. How about Carl vs Lee Selby?
Gonzalez (who is nowhere near an elite SBW) was able to "catch" Carl (and indeed floor him twice)..but it is unlikely that Quigg can catch him??? Guys lets not suggest for one moment that Gonzalez is some top ten contender! He is ranked just outside the top fifty SBW's by boxrec for goodness sake!! Carl (for whatever reason) clearly had a horrendous first round and then dominated the fight. And The Jackal is a world class fighter, and so is Quigg. A pick em fight where either could realistically win via points or stoppage.
Quigg at 22 would have been slaughtered by Gonzalez. Pro-rata Gonzo is better than Quigg. Even now today I would give him a good chance of beating Quigg.
That is laughable on many levels. Comparing 22yr old Quigg with a guy who 28yr old Frampton fought is a new low even for you and your rabid hatred of Quigg, Len. Gonzalez is ranked outside the top fifty by boxrec (who are immune from most of the promoter influence that so obviously influences the alphabet orbs rankings). I suggest that Quigg would beat him handily (and avoid getting dropped by less than thunderous blows). I usually enjoy reading your posts, but your incessant Quigg bashing is now becoming tedious. You're Irish and you hate the English. Nobody cares mate.
At present he is a prospect. And whilst I will not dispute anything you said about him, the fact is at present he is not even in the top ten in his own country!
Othke was better than Gonzalez. Why would you hate Quigg so much. Because deep down you know he batters Frampton:think
He has a 50% stoppage rate against bums. He was stopped by a journeyman 3 fights before he was cherry picked to fight Frampton. The guy is a nobody and looked nothing special against Frampton.
It says on boxrec he was stopped in round 9 I tried to watch the fight he lost online but since he signed to fight Frampton - all that footage was suddenly erasedatsch
