Promoter Eddie Hearn plans to hold talks with Amir Khan this week about a possible fight with Kell Brook in November.

Khan and Brook both attended last weekend’s big Manchester bill, topped by Scott Quigg and Anthony Crolla’s world title fights, but the British rivals did not come face-to-face.

Asked whether he spoke to Khan at the weekend, Hearn told Sky Sports: “No I didn't, he was upstairs in a box, but I did speak to him via text.

“I've said that I would like to grab an hour with him this week to talk about the fight. It looks like September 12 is not happening for Amir Khan against Floyd Mayweather, so therefore he won’t be able to fight (him) until May at the earliest.

“He must be looking at a big fight, November time. Who else other than Kell Brook can give him what he needs and give him the numbers that he needs?”

I think khan actually wants it and thinks he would win, i think khans team dont fancy it and i dont blame them. Khan wins a few rounds then gets stopped mid fight in my opinion.

I think Khan is afraid to fight Brook purely because he knows it will be a pro-Brook crowd since he fights home more often. Going into a home fight with a fighter who hasn't beaten anyone and getting 20% of the crowd is embarrassing regardless of purse.

I don't think khan will take the fight. After everything his said he will look very stupid if he does.

    Khan has screwed himself.

Khan won't take this. This is just eddie using the hype machine sky again.... he says all this then khan says no, he gives brook a ****e opponent and says well khan wouldn't fight... I'm a big fan of brook and I hope to god he doesn't fight yet another joke in his next fight.

Arum might try to jump on Khan...

Sell him Timothy and guarantee him Pacquiao at some point. Haymon block is the problem.

Khan has alot of thinking to do. Thurman, Brook or Bradley please.

If you're getting hit and hurt by Algieri then Brook is stopping you.

Forget all this "speed speed speed" rubbish Khan fans keep banging on about, it didn't stop a bagful of Khan opponents decking him, hurting him and beating him.

Brook is just too big and too strong for the fragile looking Khan.

How long does he wait. Khan should be fighting top opponents to get himself a mayweather fight rather than the likes of Algeri.

if mayweather has given khan the cold shoulder, then the biggest money fight for him is brook.

He could fight Bradley too, or even pacquiou depending on his shoulder.

Think khan gets this on points, brooks not that bigger puncher, he can win via accumulation of punches rather than 1 big punch which khan is vulnerable too.

    Keep dreaming.

Khan brings the money. Its the only reason why Hearn keeps bringing his name up.

I don't think Brook can win on points, I don't think Khan can stop Brook. There's many if's and but's, I'll go Khan 116-112 but he gets put on his ass in round 4.
