I would say that Frampton is now got the stronger backing with Haymon ... Hearn just cant compete with him. I also think that too much has been made after the weekend and still believe that Frampton beats Quigg, is the bigger name on a world wide stage and now has the stronger backers with more money than hearn. However both Promoters know that if Frampton gets more viewers in the states (and the yanks did like that fight) the a massive PPV could be held with them both. If both stay undefeated till next summer then the fight will double in money.

    Yep.

Quigg will go back to holding the belt hostage against ebola victims whilst Carl will hammer Santa Cruz.

Na im not sure Quigg will fight opposition any worse than Frampton. I like the idea of either one of the them in the ring with Donaire. We know the level that he can operate at, he is a well known name, can bang a bit, and will bring out the best in both boxers. Aim for a possible summer showdown or a crimbo crack_er next year.

I thought the WBA SBW champion was going to enforce and fight is manditory challenger?

Aka Rigo was going to try and make Quigg fight him

Anyone who doesnt think that Framptons stock has risen considerably since Saturday night is either trolling, doesnt know what they r talking about or decides not to read the general boxing forum on ESB

Frampton made alot of new fans on saturday night stateside as he showed the skills, heart and desire of a champion. The ability to box either on the front foot or back, excellent counter punching skills and a beautiful jab

IMO the fight on saturday night did Carl more good than 10 dominating performances.....

I knew from the first TV pictures that that i saw the setting was completly wrong, small crowd, fighting a hometown dirty fighter, mexican music chantings and culture.... all i could think about was Salido vs Lomo or Khan vs PEDerson...

The fact is he did brilliantly to come through it with everything surrounding the fight.....

The guys was tested, outside of his comfort zone in a hostile eviroment and was 3 point down after 3 minutes...

    He did brilliantly

No idea , i would assume none. Froch however made no offer to fight Groves in either fight. Doenst mean it wont go ahead in the future. Money talks and Haymon loves it more than Hearn. Both camps will wanna milk that fight for everything its worth. and to be fair its worth more than double (to both fighters) than the offers banded about by Hearn earlier this year.

It's why Floyd, a man who has consistently been in horrendously boring fights for over a decade can make tens of millions - because he creates drama.

Southpawology is a huge Frampton fan, hence his disgusting bias. Any true boxing fan knows Frampton lost a lot of credit that night for being made to look ordinary by a roadsweeper who is not even in the Mexican top 10.

I have no issue stating i am a Frampton fan however, i am also a well educated individual who does not wear blinkers and sees all viewpoints....

How is it possible for Framptons stock to lower when he showed the attributes i have outlined in my previous post? as opposed to blasting out that guy inside 3 rounds?

those easy fights do not determine champions (ask Jeff Lacey and many more), fights like Frampton had on saturday night do

U can call the guy a road sweeper all u want however the facts r, his father was a boxing world champion, he has been raised in a boxing holdhold, he has boxing pedigree, hes lived breathed and slept boxing from the day he was born, had every single possible advantage on saturday night both inside and outside of the ring (along with a granite chin), i could go on here......

Onwards and upwards Frampton! we all loved the Northern Ireland kit u were sporting on saturday night :bbb

Realistically, I think Quigg will head towards Donaire. Frampton will possibly move up

exactly Floyd made a fraction back in the day when he was skillfull but toe'd the line once he became his own boss .. created his hate character he started raking it in, Frampton may have lost some credit with the pureists and the boxing community but with the paying public it will have increased a fair bit

I will also say that Frampton was poorer than i expected on Saturday and so was his gameplan, However Gonzalez was better than i expected. Id be surprised if he is genuinely the 11 best mexican at SBW i trust rankings as much as i trust Haymon/Hearn and Arum

The very fact you are having to make excuses for Frampton is utterly pitiful. It's embarrassing.

The man himself knew how bad he'd been as he immediately made excuses for his performance. What was it? A "soft canvass" and "weight problems"?

You are such a troll, the whole aim of this thread is to wind people up. Your not a stupid bloke you know that Avalos and Gonzalez Jr are both good boxers and you know that boxrec rankings mean **** all.

Quigg's resume is nowhere near as good as Carl's, he drew with Salinas ffs. Please talk sensibly for once.

In regards to moving up to 126lbs its a very stupid move, Walters would eat him for breakfast, Selby beats him on points and Lomanchenko is boxing someone who he wouldnt fight in Rigondeux.
