Ted Lowry may have, little Arturo Godoy did 1st time he was a tough hombre, certain guys like Willie Meehan vs Dempsey and Joe Choynski vs Johnson have pulled the trick. In the case of the young Marciano, Lowrey gave him a go the 1st time in the 1st half of the fight but the 2nd fight was all Marciano...Levi Billips was blown out in a rd by Corrie Sanders but went the full route with Lennox....things happen

The case is that neither Frazier or Quarry were BIG heavyweights ....:D

Schmeling 1 , Great fight by Max.

    Billy Conn was great.

I do like the Abe Simon / Godoy fights as well.

Especially Baer, who only a year before was considered unbeatable.

The 1st Buddy Baer fight. Louis's combinations were lethal that night, and I still rate him the greatest heavyweight overall.

Max Baer. Likely Joe's best performance.

I believe you're right there....the 2nd Schmeling fight was a blowout/massacre, but in the Baer fight, Louis looked like the greatest heavyweight ever...one of the greatest fighters ever..

I like some of his fights with the bigger boys like the Baer's. The way he easily went through those guys is incredible.

    Too many to choose from.

I think along with Tyson, he has the most highlight reel KOs.
