How many people do you think actually deep down in their heart of hearts believe Maidana v Mayweather was a bad verdict?

This is a good callout. I'd add Golota against both Byrd and Ruiz.

Also one that gutted me at the time was Toney getting robbed against Sam Peter in their first dust-up. James shocked the world looking so good against Peter and still had that form (boxing talent, not physique - duh) he'd shown against Holyfield and Ruiz. But due to that bad decision, he had to fight Peter again, and he lost something between bouts, because he came back in the 2nd fight looking like a shell of his former self and clearly lost the rematch. After that he never looked good again. Their first fight was the last time he looked like James Toney.

    Gamboa signing with 50 cent.

I know arum is a snake also, but atleast he could of built hype around gamboa. When gamboa signed with 50, he had started to gain some popularity with casuals.

Thats all down the drain now. He can still be hyped but not at the potential he had.

Odlh causing richard to leave. Odlh was more concerned about drugs, partying and women, that he neglected his company but tried to act like he was the one making it float. Richard had enough of it and obviously did not see eye to eye which caused him to leave. Golden boy lost a lot of key fighters.

Also, pac's prior promoter because of obvious reasons

There was'nt any ringside media except for the local Indonesian media
Fightnews was the lone site who had a correspondent there and he was a regular with the Indonesian fight scene.
Every report every fight site gave of Marquez-John, was a copy and paste of what that lone fightnews correspondent reported on the fight.
It was'nt until weeks later that the fight tape started circulating on the internet that some boxing sites reported what actually had happened, a pure case of a backyard corrupt decision.

Byrd got gifts in every one of his title defenses after he beat a shot Holyfield.
I thought even Williamson edged him in a battle of the gauging jab.
