Why are people still saying that JMM's punch in r6 would have knocked out anyone?

My avatar for years on this site was a picture of Mayweather's head on a chickens body.

As far as I'm concerned PBF's chin is proven, he took shots from Judah, Mosley and Maidana and was caught flush and didn't legitimately hit the deck. Mosley's a much bigger puncher than JMM at any weight.

It's definitely more speculative to say that JMM's punch would have KO'd anybody than not because all we know is that it KO'd that fighter, where as when fighter who haven't been KO'd have taken big shots they have stayed upright eg. PBF.

JMM's KO of Pac was one of the most brutal in recent times, someone with a strong chin doesn't get KO'd like that in that fashion, he was asleep for 5 minutes for christ sake.

Money is the most skilled defensive fighter I have ever seen. Never careless, cautious and calculated.....but, Let him get hit with a good shot he does not see. He will go down.

Its not the ones you see its always the ones you dont see.

    That is what you speculate.

I, on the other hand, choose to speculate that had Floyd jumped face first into a JMM brutal counter (that he had been practicing to administer in just that situation for months ahead of time, btw), he'd have slept as long or longer than the Pacman.

    See how that works?

He's been hit by those, many times!!!

And has never went down. What you're doing is speculating. I'm going by facts and stats.

ROFL!!! And that's a horrible speculation, see how it works?!

You're speculating that one guy whose never been down in his career or close to is going to sleep longer than a guy whose been down multiple times and been knocked out 3 times.

Much bigger punchers than JMM land flush shots regularly in boxing in all divisions and don't achieve such devastating results. So again all we can say is that punch KO'd that fighter and NOT that punch would have KO'd anybody.

Manny walked(ran) right onto a punch. he added power to that shot in doing so.Not everyone walks onto shots like that, but when and if they do, KO is the usual result :deal

Nope, all we know is that it KO'D PAC, stop making baseless assumptions. The "That shot would have KO'd anyone garbage" is insane. :nut

I'm speculating based on having watched a bunch of fighters (great and otherwise) get hit by and react to a bunch of punches. The KTFO6 sequence is definitely one of the most violent and conclusive I've ever seen.

Floyd never leapt into a giant, premeditated, calculated counter, did he?

He never got hit with anything like that punch (due to his great defense). So to say that he without doubt would survive that experience is horrible speculation.
