The reason I chose this round is because it was Douglas's best round of the fight ( the greatest boxing upset of all time) where he gave Tyson a pummeling and this happening after the KD in the previous round with the expectation that Tyson was about to finish the fight. Its not a particularly competitive round but its incredible in the context of the people involved. There's this apparent nobody giving a guy whose considered invincible the worst round of his career thus far. The HBO commentary said after the round ' the most action filled heavy exchange round of Mike Tyson's career'

I don't think its one of the top 10 rounds of all time either in terms of action but in the context of the people involved, the stage of the fight and the underdog value I think its an amazing round - its high drama

Great description. I agree with your reasoning amd its one of my favorites too. I don't get why "great rounds" have to be back and forth slugfests. The context matters a lot too.

I haven't seen it in awhile, but I remember the one round of Mancini vs. Frias being extremely exciting. I might watch that later today.

Round 2 of Nigel Benn v Anthony Logan was a lot of fun.

Eubank-Watson II round 11 is by far the greatest round.

Frazier-Quarry rd 1 in '69 was indeed something else. :good

Has anyone mentioned Moore and Durelle? I would think a round in that fight would get a mention.
