Does Lennie The Lion stand any chance?

    Lewis stops him.

A great big man beating a great little man. Or little in comparison.

Lewis has 55-60 lbs, 7 inches in height, and 17 inches in reach on The Rock. It's a horrible matchup for Marciano, who would probably clean house at cruiserweight nowadays.

i love the rock but i would bet on LL

too long,, too big, too many powerful shots from the outside for Rock to contend with.

    Cruiser vs a SuperHeavy.

Might as well be Michael Carbajal fighting Lewis.. Duration will be about the same

Lewis might well win despite eras but a 2000 Rocky vs. a 1952 Lennox has to be considered. Or not...most of these matchups aren't considered that way.

2000 Rocky matched with the following names would have made for a splendid cast.

    Juan Carlos Gomez
    Virgil Hill
    Vassiliy Jirov
    Johnny Nelson
    Marcelo Fabian Dominguez
    Arthur Williams
    Carl Thompson
    James Toney
    Fabrice Tiozzo
    Louis Azille

Lewis had a glass chin that Marciano could crack with one punch. The question is could he land that punch with his stubby arms ?

Marciano's chin was largely untested. Maybe he was packing glass chin too at the top level.

I'll say the styles get in the way of the ever-looming KO, and Lewis jabs and hugs his way to a boring UD !

Yeah it is a cruiser vs a superheavy. Lewis is too big, strong, and skilled. Lewis would crush Marciano. I feel like Lewis goes into attack mode out of the gate ala Golota, Botha, Ruddock, Morrison etc. I have nothing but admiration for Rocky.

I am a fan of both, particularly Marciano, when I was a kid hearing of legendary exploits as champ, but this is several bridges too far for The Rock.

McVey knows this and was just fishing for a few bites when starting this thread.

there comes a point when size does matter and imo that point has definitely been reached (and indeed surpassed) in this match up. The phusical advantages LL brings MUST be too much for Marciano to overcome?

Pound for pound though, Marciano is the greater fighter for me.

Shut out for Lewis. Rocky would be tough enough to last the distance IMO and LL would be too cautious to go for a finish. The fight would probably resemble LL-Tua.

IT's a mountain lion versus a lynx. The mountain lion will win.

A great fighter knowing how to fight out of a crouch can negate a larger fighters reach. The only way Lewis can hit Rocky is to bend down to his level leaving him then open for KO blows. Rocky was not easy to hit and he hit like a hammer.
