Wow, Jake really is just as deep as the characters he plays. You could tell there is so much more he could say and it would all have it's reasons and meanings. And, he's a true boxing fan...well now he is but, better late than never!!

So we have an actor that co-starred in a gay movie ....what was it buttbroke mountain? or something. and we are listening to him now. sure...makes sense.

What's even more sensible is that we, or rather you, are dismissing him based upon a previous role he played.

That's a generous slice of logic frosted cake you've just handed us.

What's with American tv and movie industry obsessed with cheesey emotional stuff in everything they even have to crowbar emotional back story in to boxing.

An actor who likes the boxer that likes wearing pink, ooohh lovey darling be a super darling and pass the vaseline.

Brokeback mountain II at Big Bear.

the intention is, why should we give attention to this actor with no prior boxing experience. acting in a movie about boxing is not boxing. and of course, i put an aside about his stupid buttbroke movie. if that is not good enough for you, screw off.

That probably has something to do with most normal human beings being very emotionally complex and having emotional connections with one another and the fact that Boxers are human beings with connections to people like their wives or children.:good

You shouldn't give him any attention if you don't want to. You however made it clear that "we" shouldn't give him attention because of a previous character that he played.

If someone finds the story of how he transformed himself into the character of a boxer interesting then what's wrong with finding interest in that? should it matter that he once played a gay guy?

Or that he doesn't have any experience as a boxer?

The latter would be like a consumer of diamonds saying phuck the Movie Blood Diamond because Dicaprio was never a real diamond smuggler.
