All too telling that this isn't a postfight interview ... because Stiverne hasn't fought since getting outclassed by Wilder.

He wasn't dehydrated. Every sympton described can be caused by taking a serious beating, which is what happened.

True. He took a savage beating in there and is still making excuses for losing. He's trying to rebuild himself mentally... by being a sore loser, for the most part. He needs to fight and beat a ranked fighter and "get after" his rematch if he truly knows it was a fluke.

Stiverne also did hit Wilder in there with some nice shots, but Wilder didn't fold the way most people believed he would. Both guys were very determined that night and neither of them intended to back down in there.

The point about his pi$$ is put into perspective when you consider how the ultra-tough Ruslan Provodnikov also urinated motor oil following his fight with Lucas Matthysse. Ironically, Provo made no excuses for losing to the better man on the night. He urinated motor oil as a result of the same kind of sustained physical trauma that Stiverne was subjected to vs Wilder.

Stiverne was diagnosed with rhabdo *after* the fight, not prior to it. Symptoms of rhabdo would've manifested during his camp; they wouldn't have miraculously appeared during his pre-fight dressing room. The 12 rounds of punishment he endured against "a feather-fisted fighter" are probably what induced it.

He needs to focus on getting a rematch instead of this. It's starting to look as bad as Pac's poor sportsmanship following the Mayweather defeat.

Stiverne wouldn't have went down if Wilder didn't have heat in his hands. He is right though about Wilder not having a good chin. Still, I think Wilder would beat him again in a rematch.

 

Wilder does have overrated power and he does indeed have a Glass Jaw. That said he does have a stylistic advantage over Stiverne I am not sure a rematch would be any different.

 

Wilber's Chin is definitely suspect. That is a known fact. However, Stiverne is incorrect to categorically define Wilder as "featherfisted" after having been rocked and shaken up by him. Wilder has some pop, but his punching technique is in need of some considerable improvement. He will have trouble stopping better fighters (aka non-bums) if he doesn't work on that.

 

They're both mediocre- don't really care about either of them.
