Would this undercard make Lemieux vs GGG worth the money?

    There's rumors that Chocolatito, Ali, and Jennings will be added to the undercard. I have a bad feeling that they're just going to match these guys up with soft touches which would make this PPV a complete joke and definitely not worth it, but if they match Chocolatito with Estarada, Ali with Bradley for his mando(I doubt Bradley will be willing to be on an undercard) or a top 10 WW, and Jennings with Pulev or Glaskov would this be worth 60-70 bucks to you? I think this would be definitely worth it, but I still doubt it does more than 300k unfortunately. I also doubt most people who claim they'll buy it no matter how ****ty the undercard is will actually buy it, and the numbers will show this.

    It's a disgrace Gonzalez is being considered as an undercard fighter to guys like Golovkin and Lemieux. Should be the opposite

    Berto vs voidfield needs the undercard because that fight will bomb. Maybe bolt it on under Triple GGG fight?

    Is Berto vs TBE of the past 15 years(Zaggers aint even an ATG :lol::lol:, only to some uk****s) confirmed? And do you believe it'll be PPV? I wouldn't buy it if it was on PPV, and I'm a Floyd fan.

    They won't take soft touches. Oscar said they're putting a ton of focus on the undercard which probably means he'll put on the best undercard fights that he can do.

    If they make Choc/Estrada then the card is worth it.

    Bradley demands and gets 7 figures to fight and has a contract for such, no way Ali fights him on undercard. Top Rank would have no way to recoup his contract minimums. I like Ali , but not sure who they can match him with on a PPV undercard to really add to the card.

    Jennings-Pulev would be an interesting fight and a great opener IMO.

    I also think you are right about the card not doing more than 300k. But I think its important to remember that if it does 200k its likely to be a good financial success... thats 6mil for cable distro and HBO, and 6mil for the promotional pot roughly... which is twice as much as HBO will pay for a card and 3x as much as HBO has been paying for GGG cards. Plus the Garden reportedly made a good offer, and will likely sell out. (Montreal a close drive)

    In other words, lets not get too focused on what Canelo, Cotto and Floyd can do. Even at far less than 300k buys everyone still eats, and eats well. If this promotion sells out, and does 200k in USA based on GGG headlining he will be able to get any future top MW to the table and add a ton of incentive for top shelfers like Canelo to come to the table.

    I wouldnt worry too much about that... putting on tough matched undercards is a key sales strategy for K2 with GGG and always has been.

    Going out of their own HBO license to make Donaire/Walters, Choc/Sosa , Jennings Perez - I really doubt they just find tomato can opponents for a PPV. That would be contrary to their strategy thus far, putting on compelling undercards has done a lot to help GGG's viewership and interest IMO and I would bet money they know it.

    Lets keep our fingers crossed for good things.
