Sergey Kovalev Back on 11/28 in Russia, Beterbiev To Get Offer

If it happens next, then KOvalev is surely the clear favorite. Duva is very clever to pursue this fight now, instead of allowing Beterbiev to gain more experience/fights in the professional ranks. Artur could use a good 4-5 more fights to further refine his craft, in my opinion.

It'll be dumb if they accept the fight this early in Artur's career. Surely they should know the more experience Artur gains the bigger his chances agaisnt Sergey. IMO Artur has a way better shot at beating Sergey than Adonis, but not right now it's just to early for Artur.

An offer where it is on HBO or no fight, while Beterbiev is with PBC/Showtime. Plus I doubt Beterbiev, being a Chechen, will fight in an really hostile environment (Russia) to face his hardest chanllenge yet as a pro. It is like if the Devil would offer you to fight him, which you start considering, but then offers hell as the place where the fight would be.

The fight could get made, I guess, but why on earth did Kovalev signed an exclusive contract with HBO while most other big names in the division are with the other group.

They are just making that offer to Beterbiev to make him look bad.

 

Beterbiev is massive risk/no reward. Nothing clever about that.

It's most definitely clever. Duva knows that by the time Beterbiev becomes a seasoned Pro, he will be the most dangerous threat to Sergey in LHW the division. Her making an offer to Beterbiev at this particular time is no coincidence, especially when we take the venue (Russia) into consideration.

I definitely think Artur would take the fight. There's no doubt about that. However....

...I'm not so certain that his management would jump on it now. They may hold off until he becomes KOvalev's mandatory.
