Case in point to his 3 fights against trout mayweater and Lara . All 3 have similar styles ,they like to hit and move

Canelo I taught just beat trout in wrought fight, but he never pressed the and looked one dimensional. If he became a pressure fighter for that fight he could have demolished him

Then the mayweather fight, he made no adjustments at all to his style after almost losing to a similar opponent trout. He was flat footed never pressed the action and ponderous against maywesther which played into floyds hands

Then it was the same again with Lara who he could hae probebly stoppe if he wNt hell for leather and put the pressure on from early

This leads me to believe that either canelo is a very one dimensional fighter who can't adapt at all even after 3 fights against similar opponisiton or his corner and trainer is very poor tactically

Definitely not one dimensional, but not the most versatile either.

I know he can counter punch and is very good technically but his foot speed is so slow and he can't seem to move any quicker

Good counter punching, hand speed, combinations, good defense, Canelo is a damn good boxer puncher no way is he one dimensional. However, I think his size advantage is big factor and I believe at 160 he will have a tougher time.

So what your saying is that he does everything technically right but he doesn't have the "athletic dimension"...as in their is two dimensions....technical and physical????

Canelo can do a lot of things against a certain style of opponent, namely brawlers. He looks like a world beater with faced with an opponent that tries to brawl because he usually has them outclassed by a wide margin on technique and physical gifts(see: Kirkland, Angulo, Cintron).

On the flipside, he's not very good against boxer-types(see: Gomez, Trout, Floyd, Lara) because his jab is his worst punch, he's slow on his feet, his technique edge is either not there or marginal, he doesn't know how to cut the ring off well, or defend well against the angles a good boxer gives him. He has still managed to win(controversially) against the boxer-types he's faced other than Floyd in close fights due to his backing and power. He has not, however, developed much at all in the last few years against that type of fighter in my view.

definitely not, though countering is his bread and butter hence he destroys guys like Lemieux, Angulo, Kirkland, Cotto(though Cotto can box well too).

He does have slow feet, but that's no death sentence. Plenty of successful boxers have.

They're getting faster, it took a lot for him to keep up with Lara who was running like Speedy Gonzalez.
