Is he one of the most underated boxers we have on these shores?

He seems to have everything technical ability, handspeed and good power.

I have been told he is being lined up to box the winner of Bugioloni and Chudinov. I really think Cox can win a world title and would already be a world champion if he had not been out for two years with his hand injury.

In fact I would pick Cox to do Callum Smith!

If im being honest i really havent seen much of him i would need to check him out before making any predictions (not many people actually admit to not knowing much of someone on here !!! ) Callum tho is very well schooled. To say you already favour him means that you must think very highly of him and to be honest i think if he was of that level i would know more abuot him already .... as i said i wont judge till i see more of him tho

You would of known more mate but he out for a long long time with a hand injury, believe me those inside the trade excpect big things from Cox in the next couple of years.

My only worry is that he said he can make Middleweight quite easily but is boxing at Super-Middleweight for money and oppurtunites.

he was a lucky boy wen he won commonwealth title he sud have been dq at light middle.since his lay off his boxed at middleweight so wont b the biggest up at super middle. their was talk of him v nick Blackwell for british but guess that's out the window now.

What age is he ? If he is young then yeah prob easier to make both weights as he gets older he might have to settle for Super Middle?

would like to see him vs blackwell at middleweight for the british title, i am not quite as sold on him as you are terrytibbs, he was very lucky in his commonwealth title fight against obadai sai and imo it isnt his skills that are in question but his temperament. it looks to me that the smarter fighters will get under his skin and cause him problems knowing he can lose his cool pretty easy.

I agree he lost that fight imo, but everyone has a bad day at the office.

Maybe I should change my thread too, I think he can be a world champion rather then he will be. Saves the ridicule haha

Ive seen this guy box once against an african for the commenwealth title (cant remember the name)

he was throughly beaten skill wise and resorted to blatent cheating (low blows)

even the ref was in on it, he said to Cox after warning him for a tenth time "jamie be smart about it".... was a disgrace

never cared about him since and hoped nvr to see him fight again

This is the fight, he was outboxed and out skilled and was given a gift of a decision

the type of thing that would turn u off boxing for ever

Chudinov is a lot better then people give him credit for and will wipe the floor with frank imo, also people forget he became a world champion in only his 13th fight:scaredas:
