And I think you understand very well because it's a straightforward argument that people have been making over and over and over again.

There have been many heavyweight champions after Marciano who are bigger, stronger, longer, faster, more athletic, with better balance, and better overall skills. It is easy to see how some of us might be crazy enough to believe that all the heart and fighting will in the world won't let Rocky and his 67-inch reach take down an elite 220-lb boxer, whether you agree or not.

Your obsession with size shows you are a complete novice. Sorry.

Your denial that size matters in a combat sport shows that you are completely detached from reality. It's the reason we have weight classes. Weird that so many people who recognize the importance of the 4 pounds between 122 and 126 (see Wilfredo Gomez) refuse to accept that the 40 pounds between 189 and 229 are potentially extremely important.

You will find with Kerry, that biology, logic, and almost all other variants matter little or nothing. Once she has decided that a fighter is

    A credit to the sport

    An all time great

Had an uncompromising will to win

    and last but not least,

You have to have " lived through that era "

she is unwavering in her little girl looking at the pop star type support.

Well, Marciano struggled somewhat with some fighters which is normal. Lewis himself struggled with a past prime former cruiser weight, Holyfield and Ray Mercer plus he was knocked out twice.

Even when Marciano was struggling with Wallcott there was something in his eyes. Marciano could not see a good part of that fight.

Your post has no connection to mine ,I was responding to this.

"Marciano's power was real and was messured by military sceintists to be nothing short of phenomenal. A single punch from the rock could spot lift a thousand pounds 1 foot.He did not need to grind them down when he landed his best punch it was lethal" Please don't take my responses out of context to further your own points.

It's quite simple. People hate success. It drives them to jealousy and envy.

I live in Boston. The hate people had for Tom Brady even before deflategate was absurd. They are jealous and envy of his accomplishments

Same with Marciano. He accomplished so much, there is literally nothing you can criticize him for.

It's usually the Jack Dempsey fans who attempt to tear down Marciano. The reason being dempseys whole career was filled with excuses and disappointments not living up to expectations. and they see Marciano being rated higher than there hero Dempsey these days, and they HATE seeing that.

He knocked out all the best opponents he faced pretty much.

Well, I guess Louis is the one who had lost the most that Marciano beat, but he probably had more left then the Tyson that Lewis beat. And Charles, Walcott and Moore were all still all very good fighters and probably had more left then the Holyfield that Lewis beat.

If I have to hear one more time about that bogus US Military PSI test, or any other such test regarding other boxers, I'll have to eat a bullet.

Those tests mean nothing. They are not standardized. They are pseudo science junk. The guy who could max out any of those hasn't likely ever been in a ring and would most likely lose if he entered one.

Stop the juvenile hero worship **** reciting tired old yarns and narratives that none of the professional boxing community even takes seriously.

Do you really think scientists would bother to study Marciano's punch and not know how to do it? They are geniuses and its not that complicated to measure a impact. The experiment was conducted with a large weighted pendulum that Marciano struck and they took the data form that punch.

After they measured his punch, they took his **** out and found it to be 4 and half inches fully erect.

Realising this was slightly below average, they felt it best not to reveal this to the public at large, lestthe Italian American community go on a rampage, but luckily my old man knew one of the scientists, who passed the tale on so now you all know.

Enough to still beat other hall of fame great fighters within one year of facing Marciano

Moore beat hall of famer Harold Johnson

Walcott twice beat hall of famer ezzard Charles

Which makes Walcott and Moore automatically still great when they fought Marciano
