This is one of those ironic encounters in which the less talented man would win. Vitali by knockout. Tyson has the speed and power, but Klitschko has size, stamina, heart, and confidence. I don't think Tyson could reach his head. Mike would exhaust himself in the first five rounds and then Vitali would clean up.
At his only outing against a elite A level, Lennox Lewis at the tail end of his career , he was involved in trench war fare and his previous C level opponents he beat did not prepare him for that, he definetley got caught up in the moment against Lewis and......lost by TKO6. The same thing would happen in a Tyson showdown, Tyson is A level elite, the event would get to him and the skill level/speed he saw in Germany against cannon fodder would in no way prepare him for Tyson. The proof is in the pudding, one foot out the door Lewis simply walked him down while fighting extremely sloppy, had no respect for VK's power and kept mauling him......Tyson would employ the same tactics with significantly more speed and speed is power... Further, Lewis was not the least bit concerned with VK's punching power, this is a guy who got waxed twice by one punch and still walked thru everything VK threw........a shot to shid old washed up Tyson impersonator turned Lewis into a very cautious fighter in their encounter that his trainer had to scream at him you have a dead man there , finish him off other wise you might get hit with some crazy shid, Stewart's words not mine.....even that Tyson could turn your lights out with one blow as Lewis/Steward clearly acknowledged.
IMO Lewis was one round away from stopping Vitali. At the end of the last round Lewis had him ready to go with a chopping right to the side of the head and a Herculean uppercut.
I think it comes down to the fact that the mental midget quits fighting after 3 rounds of throwing everything to no avail. Fools who think Tyson is going to KO Vitali are merely that FOOLS. 3 rounds and that is it, just like it was with Douglas. There are plenty of egotistical d ick brains on this board who come out with typical Murican cliche ridden pig swill about " the will to win " " irresistible desire " and other assorted garbage when talking about Marciano, and Frazier. Well there are two sides to every coin whether these muppets like it or not. So name me an undisputed Heavyweight champion with LESS will to win, overwhelming desire or what ever nonsense you can dream up, than Tyson? The most over rated fighter since Marciano, without fear of contradiction. An on top bully, on a good day, and a clueless idiot on a bad one. Never even heard of plan B, much less being able to employ it.
Vitali by late knockout. Not a friendly style matchup for Tyson whatsoever; in fact, Vitali's about as bad of one that you can draw up. He's too awkward, too big, too rangy, and carries too much weight in his counters for Mike. VK wears him down and out by the 9th-10th.
LOL, he could not stop featherfisted skinny Byrd but got himself TKO'ed in the process...........Journeyman Obed S went almost triple digit rounds with VK but he is going to stop Tyson in a "one sided" affair....there should be some kind of a IQ test before some can post here. BTW, whats VK's best win besides TKO6 when he lost the fight but won the event..lol..let me dig really deep, is it glassed Hide, fat Johnson or the retired Golfer....his entire resume is full of corpses.....the ONLY comparable to Tyson real fighter he ever met was 38 year old Lennox Lewis who shredded his face, fact not fiction.
How many of you lived during that time and watched Tyson in his prime? The guy was super quick and threw atom bombs as punches. He breaks either brother in half.
Indeed. Then we might not see people acting as though a comparison of outcomes between Byrd and Tyson has any relevance whatsoever given that they're as stylistically opposed as you can imagine. I can't wait to hear what comparison next- does an outcome vs Jimmy Young predict how a mythical matchup with Shavers goes? Or maybe Jersey Joe Walcott and George Foreman while we're at it?
No need to underrate Iron Mike. Don't forget the part about eating thunder and ****ping lightning and throwing a football over them mountains over there.
What do Marciano, Ali, Foreman and Tyson against Louis,Liston, Frazier and Holmes have in common ? They waxed all the above in dramatic fashion when they had to step up to the plate, some were old, some were shop worn but nevertheless they rose to the occasion and finished the job........when it was VK's time to step up he got TKO6 against a OLD Lewis........insert a prime Tyson against the exact old Lennox VK faced and the torch will be passed, no doubt and Lemmie aint seeing the distance...... To put things into proper perspective , Lewis did not look particular good against Tyson despite the one sided win, he was clearly sliding fast and he was even worse against VK and still ripped his face apart.....check mate.
I remember Tyson unable to hurt Tucker or Bonecrusher, two big, tall, durable guys. Vitali is better than both of them. He's also better than Razor Ruddock. I agree that Lewis beat Vitali, no question. But let's not forget that it was on a cut. A cut. That is not the same as knocking his ass out. We never saw Vitali get his ass knocked out now, did we?
Vitali probably used his size to dictate range better than any big heavyweight in history. Not sure what you're thinking there.
I think it would be sort of a hybrid of the first couple rounds of the Biggs fight and the first couple rounds of the Tucker fight, except lasting for 12 and eventually getting really sloppy. I give Tyson the edge (tonight anyway).
