    Rate it and provide analysis.

    I say B+.

Decent, and by MMA standards at large in fact better than decent.

    Improving.

Still flawed, both offensively and defensively.

Granted, we have a tiny sample-size given the brevity of her fights and the fact that she for a long time went for the armbar straight away before any striking game could develop organically.

Based on the little we have indeed seen, rate it.

She threw at least one cringe-worthy looping right at Correia last night, BADLY misjudging range and trajectory and failing to anticipate Correia's own telegraphed evasive maneuver (about 12 seconds after the bell, while Correia was getting backed into the cage) and she ate some dumb shots in the clinch, although she ignored them and clearly had no respect or concern for Correia's pop.

Besides that pair of errors (glaring as they would be if judging her by the standards of a real boxer) her performance was, IMO, pretty terrific...especially as far as being a display of boxing in MMA, and boxing used almost exclusively to smash a world ranked challenger, and by a submission artist by trade no less.

She picked off and parried lots of jabs, sprinkled in some duck-and-weave, kept mostly in range with her lead foot penetrating Correia's stance while remaining balanced and squared up poised to punch, assembled very nice power combos generating the flush textbook left hook that initially put Correia in trouble, and stayed disciplined even after smelling blood in the water to set up the kibosh right hand.

Her sparring and training with real boxers has paid dividends. Striking is still very primitive in MMA compared with boxing, even at the elite tier, but she is (especially with her mainstream appeal, influencing and inspiring others in her sport, etc) helping pave the way for less of a caveman approach. :deal :respect

I think I actually hate her more with each passing day and I already hate her with a passion.

Agreed, she's just overhyped. No real competition in the female side of MMA, so she has some skill, dominates, and is called the greatest current fighter?

you can only fight your own era , its not her fault the competition is weak and she is the dominant force , its happened before and it will happen again in all sports whether its a team game or an individual . she clearly is on the fast track to being the best ever because she is doing what no other woman has been capable of before her . instead of people hating on her they should be actually embracing the fact that they are lucky enough to watch someone which is very likely to go down in the history books as the best ever .

If she continues to throw punches with reckless abandon she will get caught eventually. She needs to box smarter and just close distance for throws.

    F. She sucks, plain and simple. Yeah, she just won in 34 seconds, but she was fighting a 30 something accountant who had only recently started going kickboxercise classes to lose weight (seriously, look her up).

What kind of inbred finds this garbage entertaining? I've seen videos on worldstarhiphop that exhibit as much skill as that.

She's a woman... Her striking is garbage, almost anyone on ESB would KO her :patsch

I bet Christy Martin, and Anne Wolfe would do a number on her as well. Even at their ages.....

Struve looked good... Even though he was facing an old zombie in Nog. He actually used his height for once, threw some good ram rod jabs and crosses... Nog was still able to get inside on him and land some good shots, which is worrying but it was still a very disciplined performance from Struve aside from that, and a few stupid uppercuts he threw. Struve really needs to start fighting like Semmy Schilt, if he's able to mimic that style Schilt perfected he can causes lots of guys trouble, but he needs to learn to fight tall and keep guys outside with his jabs/kicks. Schilt is retired now, maybe he can take the fellow Dutchman under his wing? :think

Rousey said she won't move up to 140 to fight Cyborg, but was more than happy to fight Carano at 145 when it was proposed. She reckons she could beat Mayweather but said she wouldn't even fight tranny freak Fallon Fox because it wouldn't be fair as he/she is genetically a man.

Rousey talks **** but unfortunatly her army of white nights hang off her every word and buy the hype.

It's always so frustrating watching Struve fight. 85 inch reach but fights like he's in a telephone booth. He'd easily be championship material if he used his reach effectively. He destroyed a very good fighter in Miocic by effectively using his length.
