True. It'd be a fulltime job. The joker has been a member of this forum for a few months and already has one of the worst track records since Pepe/Duce.

Lol. Kompton says he is a boxing writer. He does not know a Ketchel right hand to Johnsons head when he sees one. I thought you said you own the entire bout on film? Another lie?

He says he's a boxing writer and his book on Harry Greb confirms it .
You say you know what you are looking at because you are watching," real closely",this only confirms you are a fool.

You Tube shows two thirds of the first round . I made the mistake of taking you seriously and taking the trouble to write a long round by round summary. Lesson learned, I won't waste any more time on a Mendoza clone.

I stated Johnson was hit by a right hand and he did a stutter step. That's exactly what occurred. You said it did not occurr. You were wrong.

Kompton does not know what he is looking at quite obviously.

No. I know what I am looking at because I know boxing technically. Plus I have learned that nuances within silient era films are missed unless one watches closely. As an example you had been watching this bout since the 60s but you had no idea Ketchel landed that right hand. With my help now you know. Be thankful.

Then why did you say you watched this bout since the 60s and never saw that punch? Why did you curse and completely deny it occurred until I had to post the fight itself? I mean it's no huge deal and I told you I am a huge fan of both fighters yet your denials and anger were over the top to say the least! You need to learn that you do not know every nuance of this sport. Neither do I. So open yourself up and let's all try to learn rather than play the "I am better than you" game.

The punch is partially blocked, all Johnson does is realign his feet he is not moved by the shot or ever in the slightest trouble.
The only stuttering is your stupid interpretation of events.
Do you think I now give a flying f*ck about your opinion?
How many fights have you had silly b*llocks?

That's YOUR interpretation after seeing that punch for the first time after watching that bout for 40 years! That's ok since it took me about 35 years to "see" that punch and to see Ketchel setting up that punch. Johnson was indeed hit and either stutter stepped, staggered after the blow. At least for a second.

Several posters on here are highly sensitive. They need to be seen as superiors over all others. This dialog shows you they're many events in boxing history and the nuances of these events that can be discovered no matter how long you have been following the sport.

I've never contended Ketchel didn't throw that punch, what I've said is it was insignificant in every way and did not hurt Johnson and the footage , and all the news reads of the day reinforce that view.
There is only one poster on this site who," needs to be seen as superior," who continually boasts he has the gift of in- depth an*lysis because," he watches very, very closely"
and that he "understands the technical aspects and nuances of the game",and that is you ,a self promoting nobody.
What you believe is every one else here knows nothing about the sport, but that you have the gift of an insightful appreciation of fights.
Your posts indicate precisely the opposite.
    Self praise is no recommendation.

You stated their was no right hand punch Ketchel landed in that first round because none of your newspaper reports mentioned it. However it's there in the film footage. Johnson was hit and there was an effect from that blow...stutter step at least, stagger at best. So Ketchel hit Johnson in that first round. No big deal but it did occur. You were wrong to dismiss it and you were wrong to curse in the process.

    No I said:
"The only right hand punch that Ketchel threw to the head that's mentioned in any of those papers is a right hand that landed on Johnson's shoulder."

I never said Ketchel didi not land right hands on Johnson, I said none of any consequence landed in the first round and the film and news papers reports prove this to be the case.
I talked to you the way you deserve. I took some trouble to inform you with first hand accounts which you arrogantly and sarcastically dismissed . I thought you genuinely wanted to add to your understanding of the fight, but all you want it to preach your version of it which is a patent false hood.

I repeat how many fights have you had to gain such an insight into the technical proficiencies and subtle nuances of the game, moves that you alone appreciate, but us mere mortals fail to see?

    Perry,

Mcvey does not know what he is watching and has said oops I thought it was someone else before. He is best read as amusement.

Picture a guy in his 60’s with the emotional IQ and temper of a 4 year old who had his toys taken away. I've never seen one quite like him on the web before.

Sometimes he’ll regurgitate a passage from a book, only to use a double standard against what he said in a later date.

^^^This. In addition if Johnson said it was faked, it means little as he said the same thing in the Willard fight, which is utter BS if you watch the films

Yeah, and if you two idiots want to believe Johnson couldnt have finished that fight whenever he wanted and wasnt carrying Ketchel (Which he literally was, holding him up at times) then dream on.

"oh I wish I was in the land of cotton..."
