Cherry Garcia... according to Angel, "Al picks'em. I train him. He fights them."

Every fighter gets the old cherry picker out occasionally. They are not going to actively search for the hardest possible match up every fight are they?

None. They and their teams pick their opponent.

The nature of signing a contract to agree to the fight makes this pretty much factual for most cases.

One could argue a tournament of sorts but even then they know who is in the tourney going in and they ultimately can "get injured" and bow out at any time (Kessler and Dirrell in Super Six).

Then why doesn't he receive a pass? Why does he receive the same treatment as someone who does pick their own fights? :think

Explain the time between Marquez I, II, III, and IV each then?

Certainly wasn't Marquez's fault (before you say, "he fought John instead of the rematch" I will say... he apparently got lowballed, something that Pac has turned down fights in the past due to).

I always say to be FAIR, you have to criticize every fighter's opponents the same way as any fighter that is being criticized, hold up the same intensity of light on all of them around the weight class to get the right scope.
