So, after the "controversial" (it was not controversial) KO win from the weekend, Parkers team is eyeing up their next opponent. Regardless of his age, the next target is much more experienced and threatening to the kiwi prospect.

His team is eyeing up a fight against Kali Meehan. Kali is keen but the fight is yet to be signed.
Some will wonder why Meehan. Well, Meehan sent local Kiwi cruiser/heavyweight fighter Shane Cameron into retirement. Cameron was heard around the globe a couple of years ago for his devastating one punch KO over journeyman Monte Barret.

Anyone who has seen Kali fight knows he is a big lad with a big heart. He is a tough SOB. His worst fight coming against Travis Walker

Kali is 6 foot 5 which should be a step up again for Parker. Someone with Kali's strength, reach and height will make for an interesting match up.

Although Parker has several advantages (speed, power and age) he has been seen to be susceptible to over hand rights. A fighter like Meehan could cause troubles for a prospect like Parker.

    Meehan - 42(32) 5(3) 0
    Parker - 15(13) 0 0

    Who you got?

I think this would make for a really interesting fight! I'll go to this if it happens. Kali doesn't pack glass, but he has been KO'd by much less dangerous (speed and power) fighters than Parker and really while trying my best not to seem like I'm just on the bandwagon I feel like a Parker win by KO will be only a matter of time in this fight, but Meehan won't come in like Tupou and has the height advantage so there should be some boxing in this match.

Really I think anyone who is going to beat Parker is going to have to have a granite chin and / or very good defense - its clear that so long as Parker is in a fight there are going to be KO-capable bombs coming out of nowhere and everything could change at any time. He can take a hard hit and he can go the distance, that's all proven... so I ultimately don't see that Kali has heaps other than a SLIGHT size advantage and cunning to keep him in the fight.

This is a great fight that makes sense in Auckland but a tough fight with a lot of risk. But if he has it in mind to fight for a title in the not too distant future testing himself like this might be the way to go.

Mismatch Parker wins by KO in 2 rounds or less.

This is a severe mismatch for Meehan who will be beaten to a pulp much like Botha. Parker is way too much for him and his speed and power will get Kali out of there quickly within 3.

Would like for Meehan to win, but hard to imagine it at this stage of their respective careers.

He's 45 he's gonna get destroyed. Can't believe some people are picking him to win via KO
