    Calling it now.

True boxing fans know how limited and ordinary Garcia is for an elite fighter. He has a nice looking resume and a 0. Mayweather will dance around with retirement for a little bit then take on Danny who is an EASY fight for Floyd.

There is nothing Garcia has on Mayweather. If Floyd decided to sit on his punches like Garcia does, he would punch with more power than him too.

Garcia will be a nice looking feather in the cap of a man with a truly great career.

Might as well take that check now before another solid boxer dances him to another decision.

On resume, Garcia really does deserve it probably more than anyone. (No, I don't count GGG, its really not reasonable to ask a natural jr. welterweight at the end of his career to face a natural middleweight entering the prime of his career. Nor is Mayweather Pac II appealing). Ideally would see a Bradley v Garcia bout with winner to face Mayweather

Can't be any worse than Excusequiao. Excusequiao had nothing for Floyd. One of Floyd's easiest fights. :deal

I expected this pick to happen years ago but Danny had been reluctant to move to welter and take that opportunity.

Smart move by both. Garcia on the brink of his next loss anyway so why not just get that Floyd payday? And Floyd will happily pick this cherry...

UD Floyd. Doesn't lose a round in a horribly boring fight.

Since 2010 I felt he would fight Khan eventually; too much going for it to not happen. So far, I have not been proven to be correct on that one.

Since Garcia KO'd Khan in 2012 I felt Floyd would fight Garcia eventually for several reasons. So far, I have not been proven to be correct on that one.

To my pleasure, he has routinely faced vastly superior competition than Khan or Garcia in the years since.

Yes I can see that happening, the build up would be epic, both fighters fathers talking ****, and a decent ppv amount.

I also believe he will fight khan at some point also, I just don't believe he'll do just 50, he will probably do 51-53 fights when it's all said and done

    Heh "True boxing fans" :D

Anywho Garcia is NOT elite. This is not me being a hater (I actually quite like Garcia) but just saying he's world level but not elite.

Though I wouldn't say Garcia is limited or ordinary, there is no escaping the fact that his pas performances have left a little to be desired for someone who was once seen as one of boxing's loving sons. So Mayweather picking him would make my eyebrows raise a bit but I'd also see it making sense.

It'd be a better opponent in terms of "legacy" then Berto at the very least.
