For one were a year out and there doesn't seem to be the same level of talent as there was in 2011

Also gb have lost there huge advantage in qualification . Gb used to e able to send 3 fighters in each weight class to qualifiers , now there only allowed send one like all other countries.

I see gb qualifying 2-3 boxers and being very lucky to win a medal

Always win more medals at a home games. Always more likely to get the occasional "home" decision eg Anthony Joshua

At the Olympics the home country always get loads more medals as in other Games. I once read an article about this wich also stated that on average roughly 20% of that home medals were undeserved ones, and often occured in jury judged events like boxing, gymnastics and equestrian.

Still a few chances of medals there, as you say the talent level is not the same as 2012 but there wont be many teams that can match that.

We'll see how well they do in the Europeans next week. The Irish team looks very strong. Michael Conlan is heading to Bulgaria too even though he has already qualified for Rio

In fairness Ireland seem to have more success in keeping guys as amateurs. This will be Paddy Barnes 3rd Olympics, Conlan's 2nd, Ward should've qualified for London 2012 and is now still at in for 2016... That makes a big difference.
