This dude was a warrior. Fought Williams, Pirog, Triple G, and of course, he stopped and took Kirkland's soul.

    Good looking fellow, too.

He has more testicular fortitude than Wilder :deal

It is a shame a certain demographic here despise the Japanese, for what Ishida did to Kirkland :patsch

Ishida exposed Kirkland for the Glass Jawed Fraud that he is. Completely obliterated him.

Somewhere Kirkland is crying and taking Prozac for the mental anguish of not being invited to Ishida's retirement ceremony.

Good human interest story, too. The Kirkland fight took place shortly after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake (and in the midst of its aftermath). He dedicated the fight to its victims- and followed through on the dedication in a bit way.

For that alone, he always deserves to be remembered fondly.

...you're late with this news, he retired WEEKS AGO took part in a retirement ceremony at the weekend where he sparred former opponent, and good friend, Crazy Kim in Osaka. He's now about to open an amateur gym.
