Which overseas fighter turned in the most memorable performance on British soil?

Breides Prescott vs amir khan for some reason sprang to mind, maybe it's because it was a shock

 

Maybe one not in the league of said fights in terms of quality - but i remember timothy bradley putting a very impressive win vs junior witter in sheffield for a world title. Remember thinking at the time he was mentally one of the toughest light welters who could cause an upset or 2.

Malinga did nothing but hit air all night against a very mentally-off, uncharectoristically ragged Eubank. It was his poor performance against Eubank that encouraged Benn to get in and supposedly 'do him' in a couple of rounds without hardly training, on that Anything Eu Can Do campaign.

His performances against Benn were exquisite.

By the time Malinga fought Richie he was a good seven years past his best

 

I still find it hilarious he goes by the nickname of The Khanqueor.

Eubank was clearly uncomfortable against Sugar Boy, in a close-ish fight. 'Anything Eu can do'... Malinga caused that to be abandoned sharpish, he was no Dan Sherry.

And although I would agree Malinga had seen better days, he went into the Woodhall fight having upset the unbeaten Robin Reid three months previously.

 

Was a surprise, how good he was, I must admit

 

To be honest too young to remember any of the above, but Katsidis v Mitchell and Prescott v Khan were both impressive.

 

True, but I think those fights told more of a story about Khan and Mitchell than it did Katsidis and Prescott

 

maybe but the way Prescott weighed Khan in, inside a round was still a shock lol

 

Mike McCallum deserves a mention after stopping Michael Watson.

McCallum a big favourite on the night,but put on a real classy performance.The most memorable no,but worth a reminder.

 

True it's more of a case that the home fighter got found out than the travelling fighter putting on an impressive not taking anything away from either guy though

McCallum was not the favourite that night; Watson was the clear betting favourite. Yet McCallum was pretty much punch perfect against a tremendous-looking boxer in Michael Watson.
