Still has a better chin than your boy Wilder.

Wilder was KO'd in the amateurs, floored by bums Sconier and Nichols, and rocked by Molina.

You should put down the crack pipe. No way in hell does Wlad have a better chin than Tyson.

Huge fan of Wladimir here, but you are right. I cannot imagine Lewis breaking his hand on a right fastball upside Klitsckos head and still need 5 more rounds to get him out of there.

wlad might have a weak chin but he at least never gave up, watching him trying to recover from getting instantly wiped by retired failure sanders, and destroyed bydecent journeymen brews and ross, you gotta admire his bravery if not his less than stellar skills.

to be fair, wlad has pretty much had a full career, wilder has barely started his top level one, so you cant compare the two.

I'm not claiming his chin is better, nor am I claiming that he has a great chin. Just naming off some greats whose chins also failed them at some point. Tyson lost by stoppage in all his losses.

so many of you posters talk about "wobbled all over the ring" or 'knocked down many times" etc as if this was yesterday..... The last fight Wlad was KD was Peter 1 fight back in 2005. Almost exactly 10 years ago. and in that 10 years, wlad has had 19 fights (including destroying Peter in the second fight) has never been KD and has collected all the belts, including RING, except the WBC which his brother had until last year. He has fought the TOP dogs in the 10 years and NO KD against Wlad:deal

give it up already. The "glass chin" talk is old

as Emanuel Steward used to say.."its HW boxing...I punch by either guy at any time can produce a KD or KO"

Wladimir has faced many great punchers. Those stoppages weren't one-punch-KO type like Lewis ones for example.

His chin is not his best asset but no one is perfect. He is a legend.

then why didn't any of the atgs as titleholders fall to them from journeymen or retirees?

that aside I agree that wlads chin is not terrible, its just nowhere near good.

give me a break. The Purity fight was early in wlads carrer. No experience on how to deal with "being in trouble"... say what you want about Sanders retired, ask ANYONE in professional in boxing from that time and they will tell you, "Sanders hit like a horse"..... And Brewster... wlad ran out of gas (or something else happened)

I love how you guys think that if a fighter is a "journeyman" (your words) they have no talent or Power.... WRONG! Like I said, you are basing the glass chin on KD form earliest 10 years ago

    His chin is average.

    It's not granite like Foreman's, Frazier's, etc.

But its not wet paper like Moorer's or Charles' chin.

no one has assumed that journeymen are nothing, just you saying it.

and no one has assumed that wlad went so easily down to decent journeymen, because theres no need to assume it, it happened.

credit for great longevity for wlad though, and not giving up.

Wlad was fighting too frequently and wasn't ready to go 12 back then. He couldn't stop Purrity then he gassed out. Btw I don't remember anyone stopping Purrity other than Vitali so that was a very bad match up. Wlad has an average chin.

Wlad lost by stoppage in all his losses.

I've seen Mike walk through punches without flinching that would have put Wlad on his ass and down for the count. Tyson's chin is cast iron, Wlad's chin is jello..
