What Dempsey did well was destroy big fighters, and what Carnera did not do so well, was survive finishers.

I think we can go with Dempsey on this one.

Jack Dempsey did Throw a punch in anger at Carnera once.

He was officiating a fight, and he swung for Primo, after he ignored his instructions.

It would have been a spectacular film, but honestly I'm glad Carnera vs prime Dempsey never happened. The big guy took enough beatdowns.

So Dempsey beats Carnera in 1 but Marciano takes 12 rounds and struggles?

    In general terms yes.

Dempsey methodically stops him early, while Marciano plays the attrition game, against a much bigger man.

You don't have to think that Dempsey is better, to think that he does better here.

Marciano has true one punch power, and Carnera had a glass jaw. Against great punchers, he got destroyed. Carnera will stand right in front of Marciano. He ain't making it past round 8

If you actually think Marciano struggles here, then we have nothing to discuss. We don't see eye to eye in boxing if you think carmera gives Marciano a competitive fight

    Put it this way.

Given his reach, and style, I doubt that he matches Max Baer's performance.

It doesn't have to be competitive, Carnera could theoretically spoil and hold his way through to the end. You've got it bad Suzie.Take a chill pill.

I got it bad? Dude you have this imaginary super hero you made up in your mind about a prime Dempsey. It's sad. Your vision is so clouded you can't see the glaring weaknesses in his career and resume.

I give Marciano a fair rating all time..7th. Most fans and experts would agree with my placement
You on the other hand place Jack Dempsey number 2 or 3 all time. That is absolute madness, homerism at its finest. It's even sadder when you look at your ranking of joe Louis..4th all time? Behind Jack Dempsey? It's so ludicrous I can't even fathom such an opinion
