If Mike Tyson was around today, would he be a bigger star than Floyd?

    So what?

Mike wasn't your average 5'10 fighter was he?

    Look at Mike's attributes.

    Look at Wlad's vulnerabilities.

Mike would have had a serious chance of beating him.

This can't be a serious question. Forget Tyson, If Oscar, Trinidad, Jones, Whitaker etc were still fighting Floyd wouldn't be the star he is. He was the last of this bunch and didn't shine until everyone was gone. Floyd was just in the right place at the right time, with next to no competition around him, and with social media catapulting him all the while! None of those guys had that nearly to the degree it is now. You couldn't in just 2 seconds click to utube and catch all their previous fights and read 1000 comments. Not to mention all the main social media outlets where these guys get to build their brand and become more personable, and also argue and "TWEET dis" potential opponents building the hype up 100x more. Its not even fair to compare Floyd's PPV buys with the past PPV kings simply because of these reasons.

Listen, prime Tyson has amazing head movement, he was used to fighting taller guys and weaving jabs to get inside. He was so explosive and fast, a slow, clumsy fighter like Klit would be perfect for Tyson's style. I give it 2 rounds and Tyson KO's either Klit. They're just too damn slow to get away from a charging Tyson.

And I think that goes for most divisions, the past era's so called bums, would be top of the food chain in today's.

Mayweather is not a star. No one outside of boxing has a clue who Floyd Mayweather jr is & whats more they don't care. Everyone knows the names of REAL stars like Muhammad Ali & Iron Mike Tyson.
Tell ya what try this out ..... Ask any person on the street who is not a boxing fan who the World Heavyweight Champ is & they'll say Mike Tyson.
Ask the who The Greatest is?? They'll say Muhammad Ali. Then ask them who Floyd Mayweather jr is &the answer you'll get is "WHO"????????

Prime Tyson walks straight through Wlad & demolishes him. Wlad will probably take a knee when Tyson fixes that stare on him LOL

Tyson was a media hype job , but very entertaining fighter to watch , floyd is boring and has very few fans , but he was lucky enough to be around the weight class with a lot of spanish speaking fighters , that means floyd would always have a lot big money fights for him , while there would only be a few big money fights for tyson , like wilder , klitchkos and maybe haye .

If you hold that fight against him at that stage in his career then you are an utter fool.
