If Mike Tyson was around today, would he be a bigger star than Floyd?

He's more palatable to casuals in the ring and a far better interview out of the ring.

    IT's not even close.

Tyson is Wlad's worse nightmare. Tyson matches up great against Wlad who has no chin.

Even Jennings was able to get inside on Wlad, and Jennings has NO inside game.

Wlad is the SAME GUY THAT UPPERCUTTED HIMSELF!!!

SOMEONE PLAY THAT GIF OF WLAD UPPERCUTTING HIMSELF!!!!!

    LOL!!!!!

I love Tyson, but the reason he was as popular as he was is because he was around at the right time. With the rise of the internet and social media, the ex-soviet super heavys, and mma, it's hard to believe Tyson would have the same popularity or even in ring success. The MMA thing is particularly important as Tyson would no longer be seen as the "Baddest Man on the Planet" at least not by that fan base.

Would he be more popular than Floyd...idk. De La Hoya was the catalyst for Floyd being a big star, and I think Oscar by virtue of his female fan base would always be a star, and by extension a star maker.

    Fury uppercutted himself, not Wlad.

So did Wlad, in the JENNINGS fight.

Wlad LOVERS of course won't recognize this. They tried to hide this fact more than the Nazis try to hide the Holocaust.

WHAT!? Tyson in any era would be the biggest star in boxing. He fought like a beast, looked like a beast, came out and destroyed guys within 1-2 rounds. If that Tyson was fighting today like that, OMG, he would shut down the internet. Millions still google his name, watch his fights, read any articles about him. Just imagine if he was actually fighting!

People assume Tyson would be huge today because he was huge in the 80s. Problem is today people aren't as dumb as they were in the 80s otherwise a tomato can crusher like Wilder would already be a "huge star", but hes not. People laugh about Wilder and dismiss him. Tyson fought a bunch of cans and people worshipped them. That's no longer the case and that's a good thing.

No today's' fans are much dumber how else do you explain Floyd's purses and ppv fights against stiff after stiff to pts Decisons ?

Look at triple GGG fighting can after can but he knocks them out ,people love it Tyson would be the alpha in boxing !! You don't become the name in boxing by just beating up cans ..Floyd has become the biggest star in boxing more so with his mouth than his performances Tyson would make a guy like him irrelevant !

Wilder is beating cans and NOBODY knows him. NOBODY. Tyson did the same and people were all over him. And no Berbick wasn't any better than Stiverne. A top 10 fighter yes, but merely a B class one.

If Tyson was around today and beat 20 cans like he did in the 80s, then took out Stiverne NOBODY would care about it. If Stiverne then fought random nobodies like Spinks or Bonecrusher Smith then he'd still be nothing.

If Tyson fought Wlad he'd get brutally knocked out. So again no cigar.

So in closing, its pretty clear to me Tyson today (in the 2010s era) wouldn't reach much at HW. Again, that could change if he goes to to LHW and has a couple big fights with #1 guys he can actually be competitive against. But not at HW.

He would be FAR bigger than Floyd and he would also be telling the Mayweathers to regularly STFU he might even beat the **** out of them.

Mayweather wins fights consistently. Tyson would win 2 fights, then lose 1. In a few years he'd have 4-6 losses. That's not how you build s****om exactly. Or alernatively he goes down the Wilder route fighting a bunch of cans. Also no s****om that route.

Tyson was the most recognizable face on the Earth when he fought, even today everyone knows him, he is a household name worldwide.

If Tyson fought Wlad he get brutally knocked out:lol: Sure he would the same one who was Ko Ed by the likes of Brewster and Sanders sure kid ok

Tyson was the premier boxer for over a decade with out the media that there is today and all the outlets to report on it he be ten times bigger now than he was back then !

And Berbick wasn't better than Stiverne oh brother what was his biggest win, Arreola !:patsch
