I see him beating Canelo by UD.

I think this version is just too much. He's the better ring general than Canelo. For example, has there been a fight where Canelo hasn't been introduced to the ropes? For such a big guy, Canelo sure isn't a good ring general. People are also talking about Canelo as though he hits as hard as prime Mosley or brings the pressure of Margarito. He doesn't do either, and it took Canelo more than 1 round to take down small Josesito Lopez.

Also, Cotto has been KOing legit middleweights. Canelo's KO's came against an Angulo who was still marching forward and against a chinny James Kirkland.

I agree his foot work is better he seems to be placing his punches much better it will speak volumes if he blows Canelo away I do though expect him to out box him by a clinic ..Canelo doesn't impress me and is in need of a new trainer

    Kosata was a fantastic Boxer.

1 fighter on a resume (that was semi-retired), can't outweigh the totality of the rest of his resume or Cotto's

Mosley was a good win, Martinez wasn't even half of what he was in the Murray fight. Pacquiao and Mayweather he was extremely competitive. Hatton beat a faded Kostya but still a great test, had an atrocious training camp for manny, did respectably against Floyd until he got wore down, has some decent wins here and there. Cotto definitely has the better resume for me.

The win over Kosta betters ANY Cotto win.

Someone hot the nail on the head in this thread when they said Cotto is the king of picking up vacant belts.

He reminds me of Oscar. Super game, will fight anyone (although it's not looking like it with his constant ducking of GGG) but fails the big tests.

Hatton got worse over the years , but prime for prime I go for Hatton , his speed and movement was that bit better.

Cotto's boxing skills however has really improved, looked great in his last fight.

both guys are awesome for the sport.....its fun to debate, reasonably, on a boxing forum

cotto is the better fighter...but there is no need to nitpick between these two and turn anything into a ****ing contest...both guys awesome for the sport....cotto prob the more respected/ranked fighter...its all good

Better single win probably goes to Hatton, but overall Cotto has formed a greater legacy.

Cotto vs Hatton when both were in peak form would have been a great fight.

Ricky Hattons marquee win is against a faded guy in his last pro fight.

Obviously you dksab. In another thread you ranked Hatton all time at 140. Based off of what? Beating Kosta?

Whats next? Calzaghe is pfp greatest fighter of all time?

Your nut hugging of British fighters I swear.:patsch
