Ward couldn't bring 300K views on BET... I don't know what Lemieux brought in, but once again, you can't just sell a PPV fight to hardcore boxing fans. That's not enough. The point of a PPV fight is when a fighter reaches mainstream- the casuals. Golovkin vs Ward wouldn't sell to casuals as well as Golovkin vs Lemieux. Ward is NOT fan-friendly, but it's easy to sell a PPV fight when both guys have over 30 knockouts. I'm not saying Ward would sell worse than Lemieux. I've never said that. But it's not big enough to compensate the 8 pounds that Golovkin would have to move up. That's the point I'm making. And if Ward doesn't want to wait for GGG then that's fine. It's not Golovkin's fault. That's Ward's decision. For GGG, I'm sure there will be other up and coming Super MW fighters for him to beat once he moves up. I'll repeat one more time: Golovkin WILL move up to 168 for good, but it starts FIRST at being the undisputed MW champion.
Why is this poll not public? Would fight JCC and Froch at 168 but won't fight Ward who's better than them both at the same weight. You tell me?

Because JCC and Froch are much bigger draws and lesser fighters than Ward, so K-2 is more willing to give up the huge size advantage for those 2. Now that we've cleared up the obvious, maybe someone can help me with a couple tougher questions... 1. How does offering to fight Carl F'n Froch all the way up at 168, in England, make GGG a ducker? 2. How does offering to drop 6 lbs to fight the #1 p4p fighter in the world at JMW, a division where Floyd has fought and is the lineal champion, make GGG a coward? 3. How does offering to meet the #2 p4p, Andre Ward halfway at 164 make GGG a ducker? 4. How does Andre Ward refusing to fight GGG halfway between divisions not make Andre the one who ducked? Especially after he was fine with weight draining Dawson down 7 lbs. Floyd refused to fight at 154. Froch refused to fight at 168. Ward refused to fight at 164. Cotto refuses to fight him at all. Yet GGG is ducking?!? I need help with this theory, because to me you guys make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
A certain, specified group of fans always crying and surely demand for Good Boy Golovkin to get up and say he'll fight Andre Ward and face his dismay but these group of fans quite misunderstand that to make these fights you need more than demand and unlike a Jr or retired Froch no fight of Ward does anyone watch... and what Golovkin really wants most -all unified belts and ppv to boast- Ward offers none other than a name which isn't enough to compensate these days Still, these fans will cry foul and duck while Kovalev waits only 2 pounds above Instead Andre coattails off Triple G "Ward, as a man, you are dead to me"
