I concur with this thread. Have always said that the Ndou fight was Floyd's best performance. I don't really care for Floyd nor the way he fights anymore, but in the Ndou fight - my God he was something to see.
Wow. Ndou was effective with his jab and he wasn't the typical African fighter that you see that has the physical complexion of a "can", Ndou was sensible and smart boxer/person in the fight, and man how tough is this guy. Floyd was brilliant in the first four rounds!
NDou gave Floyd a better challenge than Pac, Coralles, Gatti, Marquez, Alvarez. He got stopped in 7 but fought hard every minute of every round.
I know we are talking boxing here, but I think it has to be said that his greatest performance doesn't have much to do with an actual fight, rather a transformation of sorts. Going from PBF to Money was an absolutely brilliant performance.
I have long and frequently mentioned Genaro as a top performance and victory of Floyds' career. Although generally acknowledged, I still find it to be underrated. Because prime is relative.
The biggest Floyd fanboy myth of all time. Floyd goes life and death with Augustus and the same people who say how good Augustus is, are the same guys who slate Lomachenko for the Salido farce fight.
Mayweather's Greatest Performance is Ricky Hatton, by Floyd's logic; Hatton was 43-0, he was undefeated with the most fights, therefore he was the greatest. Mayweather has no critical thinking abilites.
Floyd went "life and death with Augustus" in your opinion? Hmm. Either you haven't watched the fight or you have an odd definition of "life and death." Suppose most fighters go "life and death" in almost every single fight by your standard, eh?
:deal For me, Mayweather's best overall performance was against Corrales. He barely got touched that night, won every single round and dropped Corrales five times en route to a 10th round stoppage win.
I thought the HBO commentators actually did a decent job calling this fight. George actually picked up on a lot of the tactical, subtle things in the fight
