Did you know that Sugar Ray Robinson only fought six scheduled-15 round fights in his Welterweight career?

Tommy Bell, 39-10-2, lasted the full 15; SRR wins vacant WW title.

    Jimmy Doyle, 42-6-3, TKO'd in 8.

    Chuck Taylor, 23-8-2, TKO'd in 6.

Bernard Docusen, 49-2-4, lasted the full 15.

Kid Gavilan, 53-6-2, lasted the full 15.

Charley Fusari, 63-7-1, lasted the full 15.

    -------------------------

In Robinsons' 6 bouts which were set for 15 rounds... 4 of those opponents lasted until the final bell to hear the scores read/winner announced.

I think Mayweather would do just fine here, folks.

I don't think Floyd survives 9 rounds with Ray. He's too small. Ray was a WW but Floyd is a JLW that came up. His best wasn't at WW.

OH MY GOD. Did you really just say Sugar a ray Robinson has better Technique then a Prime Floyd Mayweather???? People here need to get SRR'S **** out there mouth. I mean the dude lost to Jake Lamotta for christ sake. Yeah he might have fought 10-15 times a year but so did this other guys so they were just as beat up. Not to mention half of those guys wouldn't even sniff today's top 50 and that's me being generous. Yeah he has some really good names on his record but he also has some dog sh!t ones on there.

While I agree that Mayweather is at his best at 130 I don't think Mayweather in 2006-2009 condition with healthy with healthy hands gets finished by SRR. Matter fact I think he wins the fight.

The same Mayweathers who took a two, year hiatus to avoid guys ?

Also notice the guys who went the distance with SRR all had over 50 fights how many of them fought once a year previously and had semi retirements ?

Hey if you want to compare those guys to Floyd then why not use their level of activity ?

I mean guys back then fought more frequently ..You honestly think a guy who hand picks guys fights once or twice a year has the same conditioning as those guys ? Also remember some of these fights happened in locations with no ac ..You really think those type of things don't factor in ? Ask Lebron James how he felt agains the Spurs in their hot ass areana where his body cramped up due to the heat in the finals over a year ago ..

Also you listed Kid Galvin he fought SRR in 48 he had like 9 fights prior ..Can't tell me you don't factor those things into your conclusion..

Don't think he'd win but you'd be silly to bet on somebody stopping Floyd to be honest, he's no slouch himself.

Floyd Mayweather only loses to Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Jose Napoles, Roberto Duran and maybe Whitaker. He fights Oscar De La Hoya to a draw. Mayweather beats everyone else, even Ray Robinson.
