You give Cotto no credit for Sergio and Zab citing they were both old and past prime yet you are claiming Hatton's win over Kostya is not worthy of those exact same complaints? Kostya had been semi-retired and inactive for a bit going into the Hatton fight. It's a great win. But nowhere near close to being close to upstaging Cotto's career.

Sergio was hobbling to the ring. He was crippled.

Ricky's win over Kosta is better than ANY win Cotto has on his resume.

I'm amazed people have took this thread serious for so long. I guess ...that's a win for the OP?? I mean, he excuses away just about all of Cotto's wins and then when you point out that Kosta was about 36, and must've known the end was near as he retired after losing to Ricky, he basically just says, so?? The OP is obviously trolling.

Scary day when I am agreeing with Smoak and Rik

Kostya had been fighting like once every 18 months by that point and had long since lost his love for the sport. Solid win still, because even tired, DGAF Kostya beats truly average fighters but nowhere close to the level of win it would have been had it taken place 6 months after Judah.

Mosley is Mr. Nice Guy. All he did after the Mora fight was declared a draw was do that cheesy little smile, throw up a shrug, and play nice about it. While that was an ugly fight where he looked horrible, certainly one that complaining about the result would not have seemed like sour g****s.

Mosley/Cotto was far from a robbery. Just a close fight.

Hatton certainly got a personal referee in that fight...Cotto would have killed Hatton @ 140...

Draw in Cotto/Clottey would have been fair on paper. But Cotto's early KD he scored on Clottey made that pretty tough to reach. That was another razor close fight. I only ever watch it once, live, and I had Clottey by 1 point. But it was razor close with no result being a bad one and I'd want to rewatch it before seriously engaging in a discussion about it. If I recall it was a fairly entertaining fight. Worth your time.

Kosta? Has Ricky replaced alcohol with a caffeine addiction?

Cotto does not deal well with pressure.

At 140, Ricky was a beast. Legendary workrate.

High work rate is Miguel's kryptonite.
