Now come on ruddock is modern , bigger and so is superior to langford in every way . Hell anders Eklund and david price would tower over langford and their white so to many on here they would beat langford also .
I met Razor at the airport one time, didn't shake hands, just gave him the look, the guy was HUGE, moved like a cat. Razor in my opinion could have been way better, he was a head case of sorts,,,, regardless, I say Razor uses that smash punch he got too carried away with to lift Sammy right out of the ring into the second row. I don't want any **** from the old timers on this one, "have you even seen Langford?",,,, just shut the he-ll up,,,, Razor was huge, look at how well he did against a 220lb buzz saw in Tyson. I cant see Langford being able to bring that against Razor. Razor kills him and then all the young guys look at the old guys and stare them down

I don't think I've ever seen anything of Langford except for a few seconds of shadow boxing footage which someone posted on here about 6 or 7 years ago.. I have no idea how he looks in the ring.. But he's talked about like a God who could have drank rivers and moved mountains. I won't make assumptions about how good or bad he was. But it seems to me that there is very little film of him and very few people who have even seen it. I don't know how one can make him the favorite in so many head to head fights without even knowing how the damn guy looked in a boxing ring. And ancient newspaper articles written by authors were dead by the time men like Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Holmes, Tyson, etc were around don't cut it for me. If I wrote an article about how spectacular Wladimir Klitschko was in 2015, then died in 2030, how in the hell would that help to sway a person's opinion on how he'd do against a fighter in 2050 whom I never lived to freakin' see?
No in a match up like this we are supposed to do what many do on here go for the modern fighter because he has a size advantage . If Ruddock was white and Eastern European he'd KO langford easily with one arm tied behind his back .
The video was posted here nigh in 10 years ago and it really wasn't much to write home about. The footage was poor, pretty much and there wasn't much of it. It might even be the video you mentioned although I seem to recall it being fight footage. In any event I agree with you. He fought in an era when the sport was still developing. A phenom for his day perhaps but now?
