In a recent interview over at the scene, Felix 'Tito' Trinidad claimed that he would beat both Money Mayweather and Pacquiao, who are considered by most to be the two best fighters post 2000.

What do you think about that? How would he have fared against these two?

Trinidad is remembered mostly as a devastating puncher, but my old trainer said that Trinidad is the one modern fighter who, in his opinion, has the best by-the-book boxing skills. He said that Trinidads technique was just perfect, footwork, defense, offense... and my old trainer knows.

Still, what we know is that Trinidad got completely outboxed by Bernard Hopkins. That was at MW, and the question is, could Mayweather do the same thing at welterweight? Also other fighters found some success against Trinidad (like DLH).
And could Manny crack Trinidads chin? Titos chin was only average.

All the fights would take place at WW, with a prime Felix Trinidad. Both Mayweathers and Mannys physical primes may have been below the welterweight limit, yet they were (are?) also very, very good and successful at welterweight. So let's take the version of Mayweather that beat JMM in 2009 (very sharp) and the version of Manny that beat Cotto in 2009 (but without the 145lbs catchweight...).

Floyd would have Tito figured out in one round. I was a fan of Tito, loved to watch his big fights, but against pure boxer Toto was apt to struggle. Floyd's defense and counterpunching would dominate Tito. Manny on the other hand gets KTFO in 4

I agree with this. he neats many but loses a decision to Floyd, but with a good punchers chance.

Now come on, you kids must not have been around during Trinidads reign. He would blow Pac out of the water inside 2 rounds, way too big and powerful and a decent boxer. Pac's foot movement would be his only chance of confusing tito but there's no way tito wouldn't find Pac with a left hook early and even a 70% power hook would put Pac away.
As for Floyd, Tito is one of those guys that would walk right through his shots and continue stalking him non stop. Tito could connect to Floyds shoulders and body and really slow him down for a mid to late fight stoppage. If Maidana gave Floyd all he could handle, OMG Tito would destroy Floyd. Tito would KO maidana inside 3 rounds.
Prime Tito really only lost to 2 other prime ATGs, Hopkins and Oscar. And oscar is another one who in prime would destroy Floyd.
We've never seen Floyd fight anything remotely like a prime Trinidad or Oscar. We did see a 7-8 year past prime, washed up Oscar lose a close decision vs. Floyd. that oscar was much slower, flat footed and said from his own trainer that he was unable to pull the trigger anymore. It would be scary to see what a prime Oscar would have done to Floyd, and Tito for that matter. Those are 2 beasts floyd would have never dared mess with in their primes.

How wrong you are ! Tito is walking through Floyd's shots just like Canelo did... LOL... And Tito would never find Floyd. ODLH exposed Tito. That fight is the Blue print and Floyd could front Tito all night long....

I've always thought of this hypothetical H2H match. Tito is just too slow for Floyd, who I imagine would use every square inch of the ring and be in constant, perpetual movement in that fight. I could see him disarming that left hook of tito's by keeping himself out of range.

Pacman is a different story because he's the type to engage in an all action type of bout. If he doesn't utilize the ring and pick and choose his moments on when to exchange, he might sit in the pocket for one second too long and get knocked out by a Tito left hook. IMO that fight only ends in either a pacman decision or a Trinidad knockout.

Oscar and Hopkins both made Trinidad look ordinary.

    He knocks them both out.

People judging Trinidad over the Hopkins loss and when he was a part time boxer, LMFAO.

I judge Tito on his ODLH loss. After that I had no interest in him as a fighter. he was exposed. everything else is aftermath...

He beat him, he beat him so bad that he had Oscar running from a fight he was winning due to Trinidad's hard chunky punches.. LMFAO

That was a nasty psychological beating on DLH. Everything was downhill from then, feasting on Trinidad's left overs, doing coke, and marrying a Puerto Rican woman so his son could be just like his grandpa Tito. :yep

    Tito wins both fights.

    Tito knocks Pac out.

Floyd would never take the fight.Hypothetically, he would be running for his dear life.Tito just too big and powerful.
