    I agree, you don't have to see a doctor and have "rehab".
    Surgery is surgery, and you need a surgeon.
    For recovering, not necessarily so. We're talking about muscle tear, not a spinal injury.
    If you know what you're doing, and aware of your body, like any fitness-oriented person or athlete would be. You don't need "God" either.
    Obviously swimming is good for recovery.

    Some stupid people need doctors to tell them everything, and don't have a clue about their own bodies. It's unfortunate.
