The way people talk on this forum they make it sound like GGG is just this guy walking around acting like a future ATG, but really doesn't belong. Do you guys really believe once he fights a really good, really tough top level guy that he will fold like Hamed did and get exposed as a fraud?
No. He may lose a fight or two, but his haters will respect him more(unless they are phsyco haters). GGG has the ameture background which is always a sign of being legit. His chin is also well proven. This isn't no James Kirkland we'be got here. This is the real deal for sure IMO. The only question for me is if he is just a very good champion or a true ATG for the ages.
Hamed was no fraud, he beat soild guys in his division and was a huge draw. Barrera was a dirty fighter who continually got his ass handed to him after that fight anyway. I don't see the hype about Barrera. He was a lightweight walking Tecate drinking punching bag for great fighters that were passing through his division.
:deal Can you imagine if Hamed fought guys like Morales, Pacquiao, Marquez.... And Barrera fought nearly 10 years longer than Hamed. Barrera made Hamed quit :good
GGG is a ****ing German/Russian bum. He is the not even Hamed famous. He is Ronda Rousey of boxing, beating up cans and being hailed as the guy to beat Floyd even though they are not in the same division. GGG is as worst as the bum fighter before him named Bernard Hopkins who pulled up lighter fighters and was a sore ****ing loser. They are both competing for the record of bums they've slaughtered in the MW div.
My dream matchup for Hamed would be Morales. Imagine Hamed landing a flush left hand bomb. Then Morales just blinks and looks at him.
I know that but his career started in Germany. He can speak German, he can speak Russian, he is learning English...damn he is kinda smart.:huh I wish the Cubans had that type of ambition.
In terms of popularity in the American market GGG is about to be the new Pacquaio. Minus the creepyness and binge gambling.
Why is Pacquiao creepy? If anything GGG looks kinda creepy in a funny way. He looks so incredibly nonthreatening. Look at his face, and the guy wears cardigans, but he'll take your head off in the ring.
GGG can pass off as an underwear model, is a nice guy outside the ring and even calls his knock out victims good boys, what isn't there to like about the man? Pacman has that creepy vibe, his face looks ominous, and has a history of gambling and ***** slapping prostitutes.
