if he was American, he'd be much lower in his nations table of smws.

As it stands he is top of the table in his adopted nation.

However,if he was American, he'd miss out on all that high stamina inducing welsh hillrunning that he got in wales. So he'd be a lesser fighter, since his best wins depend a lot on outgassing injured or old fighters. So all in all being American he'd be a lesser fighter, missing his greatest strength.

If he was American, all the American writers would rate him above SRR.

Not sure if it would maybe a little but he really needed to head over to the states much sooner

One thing you can say Amir Khan can be annoying sometimes but atleast he came over here early and as a result he will be remembred more than say a Kell Brook who seem to be following the Calzaghe approach in staying over in England rather than the Lennox Lewis approach in fighting over in the U.S More often where there is better competition I just feel Calzaghe should have came to the states around 2000-2002 ish

Bernard Hopkins DID beat Calzaghe but Calzaghe got the split decision. Calzaghe was incapable of throwing a legal scoring punch. He used the inside of the glove which is ILLEGAL hence the SLAPPY name. Bernard was so incensed he offered to go to Wales for a rematch to end the controversy. Calzaghe declined because he knew that when Nard put him down next time he'd stay dawn lol Calzaghe retired & apparently lived a life of sniffing coke, alcohol abuse & debauchery according to reports.
Bernard went on to build himself a truly ATG career which will never be equaled  :hi:

He would have been called out for weak opposition. Joe was a good fighter though.

Look at Wilder. Glass chin, all KOs against tin cans and bums and is already being hailed as the heavyweight king

Who is calling him the heavyweight king? MVC!? that's one person on a forum.

Don't pretend that everyone is getting behind Wilder.
