    Marciano vs Stephenson

15 rounds although one way or the other I'm not sure this goes the distance anyway

holy crumb this is a tough one,,,

I really like Teo overall, think he could of been a great,,,,,

we just don't know his stamina and that makes it very tricky.

have to go golfing now, will think about it.

Stamina question mark. If Teo has it my money is on him.

Stephenson is not able to go 15 rds., and certainly not aganist the Rock. Can he kayo Marciano? I don´t think so.

It is like comparing apples to oranges, truly. It is like comparing College Football and Professional Football. Two different games.

Many guys are great in college and do great as professionals; but there are many college stars whom were not up to the professional level.

Skill-wise and speed-wise Stevenson has the upper hand; but stamina, resilence and toughness are huge questions, as other posters stated.

All things considered I think Marciano wins with a late-stoppage

No going to argue as the Cuban never turned pro so there are question marks about him . How do you rate the cuban's power

Excellent . It may be heresy to say this but from what I've read on him, he was not too special under fire, and the image everyone has of him is the Olympic one, which gives the impression he was an unbeatable collossus lots don't know about his losses.

An amateur vs a professional in modern times ???? only the old time "Gentlemen" cricketers were ever equal to the pros and that is because the "gentlemen" were filthy rich and never had to work so like their middle age noble counterparts they had nothing but time to work on their occupation, the nobles had to be warriors and the gentlemen had all day to train in the nets. Boxing is nothing like that, Stevenson I am afraid stands no chance against Rocky unless he embarks on a pro career but he didn't. They are very different versions of the same sport

Back in the 70s Duran visited Cuba and was introduced to Castro. The conversation turned to Stevenson and how he might fare against Ali. Duran predicted that Ali would kill him, which I don't think went down well with the hosts.

Stevenson might beat Marciano in a three rounder, under amateur rules, but over 15 rounds in pro conditions, when he has no pedigree in that kind of fight? Can't see it myself.

I know the story Berlenbach! Duran's people told him at the dinner Fidel hosted to NOT get political. Well, Roberto didn't and just had a common sense response. I've heard, after Roberto said that Ali would kill him, Castro simply said: "Adios"
TS did have the tools; should have floated a 57 Chevy with buoyancy to Miami back in the early 70's and turned pro but of course that didn't happen ( Stevenson was a brain-washed Commie)
As a previous poster said: "Apples vs. Oranges"

i'll never bet on a guy who never fought in a pro fight over a proven professional, let alone an ATG.
