I haven't looked into the matter in depth like others have. There are people outright calling him Margacheato. These are big claims and it takes away from his victory over Cotto.

    Is he really Margacheato?

The evidence in the Mosley fight is, from what I can see, pretty solid - but people then inappropriately generalize from this to other fights, like Cotto, for which there is NO evidence that his gloves had anything in them.

There are photos of Margarito after the Cotto fight in which there appears to be some object protruding from his gloves.

Cotto brought it up to Max and showed him the photo on he HBO Face Off show.

Obviously, it's hardly concrete evidence - no pun intended - the object could have been anything, but it's something to consider.

Cotto lost fair and square, if Margarito had loaded gloves the amount of shots Cotto took that night he'd be a vegetable right now,and he's not , so I don't buy it, its just a convenient excuse for Cotto and his crazy fans to cling to in an attempt to convince themselves that wasn't a real loss, but it was....

They use the evidence that Margarito couldn't hurt him in the rematch, that's because Cotto used lateral movement and had a far better strategy that time around of targeting a injury, which I find pretty repellant as well. And even then Margarito was starting to bust his face up a little and he was 100% sans hand wraps for that match.

His trainer Capetillo (?) admitted that they had indeed attempted to put the gauze with the illegal substance in his wraps. He just claimed that it was an accidental mistake...

Now why in the world Capetillo would have that in his bag when he showed up to work that day in the first place, well, that is a question for the Margarito-sympathizing-trolls.

Waaaaaa! Waaaaaa! Sob! Sob! Sob! Waaaaa! Waaaaa! Sob! Sob! Sob! Waaaaa! Waaaaa! Waaaaa! Waaaaaaa!
You're gonna cry about this until the day you die. He got caught, and every victory now has a question mark next to it, accept it. The sooner you do the sooner you can stop whining. He beat Cotto, fine good for him, oh what's that? He got caught trying to load his gloves the very next fight and put in doubt his biggest accomplishment you say.. Nooooo. Say it isn't so. He wouldn't cheat for a prime undefeated Cotto but would for old Mosley. GTFO!

All I'm going to say is this: why would he use it for Mosley and not for Cotto? the Cotto fight was way more important than the Mosley fight. Mosley just happens to have Naseem on his side who knows what the hell he is doing. I'm sure this wasn't the first time he tried using bricks. He just never got caught. You are truly naïve if you think the Mosley fight was the first time he used bricks.

But at the end of the day, GGG/Cotto haters are going to defend Margarito and the Cotto supporters of course will defend Cotto.

Also if he was innocent, why he and his trainer got banned?

Margarito being asked, "how's the punch" by his trainer during a fight. Try explaining the meaning of that
Crushing sparring partners orbital with head gear on.
Inconsistency in what sparring partners spoke of his power, some said he hit like girl, some said he hit like a ton of bricks. Obvious indication of when he had the plaster in and when he didn't.
Consistently coming on the middle of the fight which perfectly coincides with when the plaster is said to have hardened.
Making someone bleed from the eyes.
Making someone bleed from the ears.
Being photographed with a crack in his wraps and blood seeping through for which no one's brain can come up with explanation for how that would be possible until plaster is added to equation.
Him being caught with old blood and plaster ridden wraps in his gym bag during Shane fight, which fits perfectly as those being the wraps he used for the Cotto fight, which was the immediate previous fight.
    Exploding Lujan's ear.
Having absolutely no talent yet accomplishing the things he did.
Not being able to do a damn after having been caught.
Actually being caught attempting to beat Shane with plaster.

There are many things on that list for which just one of the facts leaves you at a loss for words to explain, like crushing someone's orbital with head gear on, exploding someone's ear, making someone bleed from eyes etc. When you it add up all it becomes mind boggling that one person could do all this, until you add the plaster they were caught with to the equation. When you add it up, there really is no argument against to whether he used plaster or not.

Lets now say what really happened.

1 ...I saw Tony Margarito's hands wrapped for the Cotto 1 fight The commission rep was right there watched closely too. Margarito's hands were wrapped 100% legally. Cotto's claims are pure :|:|hogwash

2... The Mosely debacle The CSAC Insp was righthere ,watched
Margarito's hands wrapped, passed them & signed off on them.
Then Nazim Richardson complained he hadn't seen them wrapped & insisted they be removed. Margarito said OK
When they were removed Richardson claimed " PLASTER BLOCKS" fell from the wraps. What happened to those "BLOCKS" no one else saw them. Because they NEVER EXISTED!! All that was found in the wrap was a used gauze pad which was damp. This pad was tested by an independent lab who said " The pad was damp & on it were found TRACE ELEMENTS of sulpher & calcium". Now its fact that much larger amounts mixed with water etc would indeed make up plaster
but what the lab CONVENIENTLY failed to mention was sulpher & calcium are also ingredients of HUMAN SWEAT!!! & also ingredients of hand crème . The pads were proved HARMLESS by those tests. The only illegality was Capetillo accidently put in a used pad instead of a new one A mere technicality
Why wasn't a proper investigation held? Why wasn't Richardson asked about his ludicrous PLASTER BLOCKS claims? But the CSAC jumped up & banned Margarito with absolutely NO PROOF he'd done anything wrong. A mans career was derailed & his good name & reputation tarnished by a blatant lie
The only cheats in that disgrace were Richardson & Mosely:fire:twisted:
