Tyson was past his prime yet managed to destroy Lou Savarese who was 6''5 and 241lbs; a full 6 inches taller than Mike and 20lbs heavier.

Did Mike have natural KO power? I had always thought his combinations and counter-punching was more to credit.

How tall do we have Tyson? I thought he was around 5"11?

Was that a rhetorical question? Mike did it with a combination of unnatural speed and power. The same way a prime Mike would steamroll most of the superheavyweight bums of today like Deontay Wilder.

The Tyson who fought Lou was past his prime; he had lost much of his speed and skill.

Even a diminished Tyson was too much for Savarese to cope with.

I remember back in '95 Savarese was mentioned as the foe for Tyson's comeback fight. Damn, exactly 20 years ago!

Let's not forget Savarese is older than Tyson, it's not as though he was in his prime.

Savarese wasn't a bad fighter though. If I recall, he did okay against the then-unbeaten Michael Grant and took him the full distance, and he also took Big George the distance.

This was one of those fights which made me think (foolishly) that Tyson had a chance versus Lewis. It was almost vintage.
Tyson hit hard and accurately enough to knock out basically anyone if he caught them just right.

The hand speed difference was critical.

Obviously Savarese didnt think he would win before the fight he looked scared shyte, the end of the fight was the opening bell, savarese apparently new Tyson was out for blood,he even tossed the ref aside and continued the pounding after it was waved off by t.k.o.

A little off topic ,Savarese was a former long island plumber who used to beat people up for money and shake ppl down ,one can see why he was not exactly a clean fighter himself, first time I saw this guy he was DQ'd ffor head butting. He also went into MMA briefly.
