He is Bulgarian.A fighter from a small poor country.
We are talking about the pro game.Without a powerful promoter from the USA,the UK,Germany,or Japan you go nowwhere whether you are an extremely good fighter or not.

Yep! Me,too.Pulev is still a top 5 heavy weight. And like you I am looking forward to his outing, even against an overmatched journeyman.

Eagerly awaiting this.... But I have a bad feeling it will be some low-mid level EE journeyman type and not even some in the latter half of the top 100.

It will be very interesting to see how his current form looks like.

I believe that he might come back on the 26th September undercard in Berlin.

The main event is Jack Culcay, defending 154Lbs WBA Interim belt. Prospect Tyron Zeuge is co-feature.

The main event is Culcay??? Cant believe it! Culcay has no charisma,no punch, not one convincing victory over a good opponent under his belt, his interviews are embarassing. How the hell can such a fighter be the main event in Germany's capital??
As for Zeuge he is the real deal.He is probably Germany#s best young gun of all weight classes in the pro circus.

I think he could use some confidence build up, which seemed to be a big weapon for him.

Unfortunately that's how it is. The venue is Max Schmelling Halle, which packs up to 11k people. Doubt that it will be a sell-out. Most people will be there for Zeuge anyway.

Zeuge's likely opponent is Eduard Gutknecht.

Gutknecht's record is 28-3-1 (11 KO). He lost to Robert Stieglitz, Juergen Braehmer and Dmitry Sukhotsky.

Not exactly a step-up from Sjekloca, more like a stagnation around that level, since Zeuge is coming back from an injury-caused layoff.

I quite disagree with you.Gutknecht is better than the Serbian.Very good test for Zeuge at this stage of his career.Far more interesting fight than the main event with Cucaly and a feather fisted Australian.

You're probably right, I don't know much of Gutknecht. I assumed that they are around the same level.

Culcay is having an optional defense. He is supposedly gunning for the full WBA soon (not sure about that, since that would be Lara).
