Mayweather & Pacquiao is a joke.
Khan already ducked the chance to fight Brook
Porter is with Haymon and was scheduled to fight Broner
Chaves was approached but was unable to fight at that notice because of an injury
Bradley had a fight on HBO for a title a month later in an easier fight earning nearly more than Gavin and Brook got combined and is contracted with HBO

Are the others really any better, or bigger names over here in the UK than our former world amature champ (who, as stated, would've been having a final eliminator against Bizier by now anyway)

 

agree i dont think Floyd wouldnt touch Kell anyway he is too much in his prime and too dangerous. The more i think about it the more I like the thought of a Maidana fight ... how possible is that ?

 

Thurman is with Haymon. How willing do you think Haymon is realistically to let Brook fight him after Brook already exposed Porter.

Maidana is with Haymon too, but would unlikely even be allowed to fight for a title given he has been inactive and coming off two defeats. Plus he was last seen weighing above the cruiserweight limit.

And Pacquiao is almost done- I doubt Arum would risk cashing out on him against someone outside his own stable or who wouldn't generate a monster buy.

 

So if the Bradley, Thurman, Maidana fights were not available then these shouldnt have been the names that were being thrown around

Thurman would take it in a heartbeat i think if fighters came out publicly stating they want the fight made it would happen.

Brook is the IBF champion. These names are given to him by the IBF top 15 rankings.At 5 weeks notice they would have to appeal to the IBF for anyone outside that a process that takes over a month. They can't wait until two days out to confirm if a PPV main event can take place.

And you are failing to understand Brook would be forced to defend against Gavin or Bizier by the end of January anyway as they would compete in a final eliminator.

You need to understand boxing is a business and had Brook decided not to fight Gavin that night, the May 30th show likely wouldn't have happened or if it did, it would make massive losses.

All you have done is criticised Brook for fighting that night at all rather than sitting at home and just waiting until Gavin became his mandatory

 

Thurman after his last fight 'you know who to call, his name is Al Haymon'

Al Haymon wouldn't even listen to an offer for Brook to fight Khan which is a far bigger money fight.

That call goes no further than Al Haymon, regardless if Thurman would take it.

 

NO YOU are failing to understand i am not asking why he didnt fight these guys im saying why was Hearn AND Brook saying they wanted the names when they couldnt fight them as you have stated Rios, Thurman, Mayweather, Bradley Pacquaio were all the names being quoted from them. But like you said none of these fights were avalaiible or possible. If his next fight is not a name we can add his name to the ducking list

So if your saying that if Brook AND Thurman both came out on video or whatever and actually said i want to fight Kell/Keith publicly then the promotors would ignnore it ? no chance ! no chance in hell !
