I think it's quite peculier that guy with 5 fights is calling out a top p4p fighter (sure be it as it may he's fighting in a lower weight class and nobody except a few loons would have a go at Rigo if he refused to move up) and he still attracts hate for that lol.

There's no winning against haters, that's for sure.

Heres the problem though. Walters flat out said he wasn't interested in Loma back when Loma won a WORLD TITLE. Something about Loma not being big enough ( star power wise) or experienced enough. Also it's clear as day he can't make featherweight anymore (was a miracle he could make it if you ask me he weighed in 147 on the night of the fight with Marriaga!). Loma could still fight him but imo he stands to gain far more from a rigo win than a walters win.

Rigo on the other hand is regarded as a top 5 p4p fighter and he also constantly calls people out. Loma got that eastern euro mentality kinda like Kovalev where he doesn't like people making a fool out of him so he accepted Rigo's challenge and they are sorta going back and forth on instagram about it now.

It's not just that he's calling out a smaller guy, it's that he's doing so after refusing to fight the next most obvious competitor in his own division simply because he missed weight by a pound. It seems hypocritical, particularly again since he further refused to make any compromise to secure the fight with the smaller opponent he called out.

And at what point does this end? Should we also applaud and defend Lomachenko if he likewise calls out Inoue or Gonzalez while continuing to express disinterest in Walters? After all, they're P4P guys as well.

Lol aren't you cubans the ones always whining that cuban fighters are avoided and now a guy that fights 4 pounds above has accepted rigo's challenge suddenly he's picking on a smaller guy? lol gtfo.

Where has he said he will more likely come over 135lbs? I've personally said that if this fight doesn't happen because Loma doesn't make way for the rehydration clause, then it's a duck by Loma.

'and would more likely come in over 135 as he has for the majority of his fights thus far' - is ultimately splitting hairs. Thankfully he can come in at 135lbs without any problems.

I think Lomachenko should move up to 130 soon. It doesn't look like Selby, Walters, Mares, or Santa Cruz will fight him, and he already beat Russell.

He already refused a rehydration clause last month.

Why does it even matter, I struggle to believe that anyone would actually believe that Walters poses a bigger challenge to Lomachenko than Rigo, people are looking for things to get mad about here, you guys have already made up your mind about Lomachenko, long ago.

I also think that Lomachenko should be fighting 3-4 times a year.

I certainly didn't have my mind made up. I simply became annoyed at the hypocrisy I felt he and his team have displayed the last 2 months, something your post doesn't address at all.

LOL yeah Cubans are always talking sht about other fighters and saying how they are ducking Cubans. There are twitter dedicated to praising Cuban and talking smack about other fighters.

What people forget is that Rigo fans are always talking smack about fighters at 126 saying how they are scared of Rigo. Then Loma finally calls him out and now it's a problem. "Oh Loma is a coward for calling out the small Rigo. Rigo could be fighting at 112 pounds if he wanted to." Well if Rigo could make those weight divisions (115,112) then why didn't he start at those weights. Rigo has been fighting at 119 (Bantam) in the amateurs since he was a teenager. Why didn't he fight at 112 at the time it was Flyweight (now it's 114).

That's because Lomachenko wants to unify the titles first (he has stated this since turning pro, before Walters came along with his average abilities). He doesn't care about who the opponent is, unless it's a true ground-shaking legacy fight like Rigondeaux.
If Walters can't make weight then see ya later Walters! He has to prove he can make weight and get in the battle for a belt again.

There is a logical difference, too. Rigo can come in hydrated at the weigh in and reap some advantages of that, but if Loma was to go down to 124lbs, he would actually feel weak, as he has stated himself.

It would be sad if Loma did come in over 135lbs, though.

You think Lomachenko would beat Walters?

So Lomachenko will most nobly compromise on his principle of unifying the division to take a legacy fight but won't actually compromise on the terms even if such a fight comes against a smaller opponent.

I've addressed it in the past multiple times and I really don't feel like going over this on and on. I think the entire premise is nonsensical in the first place, and I believe it comes from looking for things to justify your already pre-made mindset about said fighter.

Maybe this doesn't apply to you specifically because I don't really know you but I'm speaking in general here when it comes to Loma's critics.
