I'm not even sure where this Rigo 118 thing came from, he never fought at that weight class in the pros, he actually fought at 126 once lol...

    Yes, I discussed it here:

BUT if you can't be bothered reading that, basically Loma has made his name from guys like Walters. Walters has shoddy footwork and structures his game in a way that'll make him clueless vs Vasyl.

Walters will always have a punchers chance vs anyone at 126lbs (although his power has been overrated, too. Donaire sucks at 126, and shot Darchinyan at 126lbs is a two-fold joke).

That's their excuse for everything Rigo. Oh Rigo is such a god, he's fighting at a weight class he shouldn't even be fighting at.
In the amateurs, as a teenager, he wasn't even fighting at 112. So what makes these people think he could do it now. I don't think he makes 115 either, I could see him making 118 but not as comfortable as some think.
Rigo has a very small built but look at his body he has almost no fat. Where is he going to lose more pounds from? He's perfectly build for 122.
You're right he came in at 125.5 for one of his fights.
I actually like Rigo but his fans are really annoying at times.

I think Rigo could probably make 118 if he wanted to but people are treating him like he's some guy who just moved up to 122 for a couple of fights when in fact he's been in that weight class since the beginning of his pro career.

He's a full fledged SBW as far as I'm concerned, albeit one that's on the smaller side obviously.

I don't think anyone at 126 can outbox Lomachenko.

Ha, baloney. Loma on fight night was 136 vs Salido and 138 vs GRJ. That's more than 10lbs of weight advantage over Rigo.

I think the fight is a good fight, but Rigo is small for 122, he could really make 118. Rigo really only stuck around 122 to fight Donaire and is looking for money fights with the likes of Santa Cruz, Frampton and Quigg.

Loma has Walters, Mares, and now Frampton and Santa Cruz for money fights.

If these two ever met, could you name me a fight where so much skill was on display?

I mean, these two are the best technicians on earth, and were the greatest amateurs live, too.

THIS would be the epitome of the "sweet science", not the usual rubbish.

Lomachenko is one of the most skilled fighters in the sport right now, and he's only going to get better.
