Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Cafe, Aug 20, 2015.

  1. All I've had out of you pimp c is Ward made 2 million fighting Smith (are you ****ing kidding me?! Lol) To which I replied:

What was Smiths cut in terms of purse & ppv percentage?

U can say the exact same thing about ward stepping up and fighting Kovalev's or Stevenson.it works both ways

  3.

  4. Here you are PC:

Paul Smith: originally $225,000 but fined a total of $65,000 because he did not bother to make the weight so he walks away with $160,000 or £100,749.36 before expenses & taxes.

    Also the PPV numbers:

Andre Ward got a paltry return of just 323,000 viewers on BET.

Andre Ward couldn’t draw flies to **** lately... Oh & well done for pretty much admitting you're a fanboy too! I'd stop now & save yourself further embarrassment because your hero is doing u no favours here..

Here is the issue.... GGG says that and it's okay..... Cotto says that, and then... forget it, it's ducking.

That's not the issue at all.

  7. Andre award is fighting a shot c level SMW at a catchweight with something like a 90% take on revenues after being irrelevant for 3 years & known to be an absolute diva when it comes to stipulations! Furthermore, said SMW couldn't even be bothered to make weight in a fight who's numbers absolutely stank! Well boo ****ing who!! Golovkin meanwhile is selling out the garden in a unification fight against a rival champion with some serious career momentum! Paul Smith had the momentum of a sloth! A stuffed one at that! & you're all outraged that Golovkin won't be dictated to but even offers a meet halfway! To further humiliate yourselves Ward (circa Rodriguez) fight was dismissing Kovalev & Golovkin & considering Truax & Sartison! He was also suggesting a 160 clash with Mayflower.. Now who's having the last laugh?!

  8. My gosh how could i have missed this gem too... Did u just pretty much admit Ward can't do well on his own & that Golovkin would make him do big numbers? Thus suggesting Gennady is the draw here & Ward needs some of his sheen?! This just gets better & better..

GGG team are basically saying that Ward can fight GGG at 160 anytime he wants, but if he wants to fight him at 168, then he has to bring money, which he isn't, so then he has to fight GGG at 160, which obviously he is not ready to do so.

PS: I only read the first page and want to adresse some point made there.

Let's be honest GGG is ducking Ward, it's probably the smart thing to do but it's a duck

Of course it's not, not with the amount of money both sides want to extract from it, GGG will test PPV waters in Oct and if Ward wins a few meaningful fights it could be a PPV fight next year.

How is this any different from Cotto not fighting GGG right now because he isn't a draw. when you say everyone within 3 divisions is ducking you weight can't be an excuse

Instead of having clowns like dirty Sanchez & Loeffler come out with these ridiculous reasons for ducking Ward that true boxing fans don't buy, why doesn't GGG just come out and say Yes I am scared of Andre Ward I think he would beat me and that is why I don't want to fight him.
